Yeah, it was a double wham yesterday and today. That's definitely how it goes sometimes. I have had my fair share of luck so I'll just keep being patient. I think I'm also more bummed than usual cause I've been feeling a lot of regret over a couple toys that I traded/sold over the past few months. I guess I was trying to buy my way back to happiness?

I agree with the differences in sensibilities argument., Jeff. I do appreciate the opaques with tribute..uhm.. "colorways", if you may, but it has been done so many times, not just with figures made by Gargamel but true with other lines. Yeah, I get that, I find it cool, too.

But painted guts inside a sculpt like the Deathra, is kinda unexpected, isn't it? And 'trickery' on the part of the Gargamel dudes, I don't even think of it that way. Its more like..."what else can we do? how can we push this figure further?" The guts surprised me on the same level when I learned about the movable wings when it first came out. And I am really stoked since I've been collecting the mini Deathras line for a long time--just want to state where my being blown away is coming from.

I'm not totally surprised by the guts, the skull part surprises me more I guess since Zag/Mibs/Bakos only have guts inserts. Maybe they'll get skulls soon too?! Gargamel has SO MUCH they can still do, nothing will surprise me since they're such a creative lot and have so much to work with. Think about how many mini's aren't full size yet? How many haven't even been done in GID? There's SO MUCH to do, I'm not surprised but I'm ALWAYS delighted.

What's always fun about the guts figures is it's like a toy within a toy, I mean those guts are still sculpted/made/painted the same as any other character, always awesome.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the skull--And I would be totally blown away if a Cronic pinstriped clear Standard Deathra suddenly comes along..

^I totally agree, that clear orange is my favorite. Kinda weird, unexpected, yet really appealing.

The blue vinyl on those solid deathras is a great color, the more minimal paint app is really nice on it.

Absolutetly love the new Deathra's but none of the ones that made it online really did it for me, will be happy to set that money aside for a luckybag (hopefully). SO jealous of those who attended, i always end up saying best show yet but they do it everytime.

After christmas i could only go for the pocket deathra, and i was lucky enough to score it!
But i wish i had the cash to drop on a couple of those miboras.

When will Lucky Bags come out? Around 1/2 or 1/3? I'm in Japan until 1/6.

The full size Deathra and the amazing one-offs they've been doing in general make me think this will FINALLY be the year I buy a lucky bag.

Here's to hoping that the LB will contain at least one unpainted deathra--clear with skull and guts insert.

the LBs are always sold on the same day in the past but only online in japan these days.
ironically, it is much tougher to score the LB in Japan than stateside as the online sales are wiped out in fraction of seconds and there is no store front sales.

This was also my favorite piece from the ones released online but I was pretty much on board with all of Naoya's submissions.
On another note I just sent in payment for my 1st Gargamel custom and I could not be more excited!!!

I know both rejection and acceptance emails have gone out. Some seemed to have taken longer then others. I know people who got emails right away and some days later (both rejection and acceptance).

Look like 1 size bag this year.

Gargamel finally updated their website. Looks like a new webstore (Possibly new) Anyway..the lbs from the last few years have been 1 size. I think 4 years back you were given an option.
Not really spoiling any info as Joe mentioned...It's extremely hard for people in country to buy them. It's easier overseas.
