Is that what it said? Google translate sucks, I could tell it said it was on some sort of different vinyl but didn't catch that it was clear blue, nuts!

@Rich- Gorilla-ju is brown vinyl with silver spray. The blue is from the reflection of the mech.

Mecha Gorilla-ju is done on solid dark blue vinyl, not clear. But a clear version would be awesome. Hopefully in the future.

Sure it's not just brown paint coating the vinyl? GOTTA POP OFF THE HEAD TO BE SURE!

RxH's done it, Gargamel's done it, Blobpus has done it, AA's done it. It's not some arbitrary thought I had, it happens. I'd guess they pulled the vinyl, said "nah" and it's cheaper to paint over it then pull a whole new batch.

Hmmm, it's half past midnight here and my wife WILL kill me if I suddenly turn on the hair dryer. I'll do it tomorrow.

How soft is the vinyl, clear is soft and opaque is very stiff.

Yup. Checked and both figures are done on solid color vinyl. But my pics of Mecha Gorilla-ju look too blue. Its actually done on a dark warm grey/ putty color vinyl base. The effect is like some fading dark tan color at the joints.

Can't believe I'm going to get to spend new years eve with my gorilla-jus! Shipping was crazy fast.

Got my set today and I'm floored !!

In hand the new head which I did not like, I actually like quite a bit. It's not as good as the other head, but it has it's own feeling and characteristics that are nice. I really like the jaw spikes at each side of the head.

As for the gorilla Ju, it's perfect and so so much better looking in hand. The body where fur is, is covered in a light silver dusting. This simple paint app makes the red( which is the only other color) pop out big time. The red of the mouth and eyes just look so juicy.

I'm also stoked on the native, which is a brownish orange pearled viny.
