Post My First Airbrush Work...
So this is my first airbrush custom (originally was a see thru honey colored mummy boy?) . Don't know if this colorway exists or not but at the moment I'm calling it the Tiffany after one of my favorite Nike Dunk releases. Thanks for Looking.

I think your favorite Nikes are paying homage to an overpriced jewelry franchise =P

I would have tried to incorporate the transparent base but for a first effort it looks pretty good.

Nice first go, looks clean. I feel like the black extends to much up the body. Like maybe a free spray on the lower legs and maybe a black hit on the arms would have had as much impact. Less is more type of thing. Looks good though and I am nit picky person so take it with a grain of salt. Wish I still had my Tiffany's. Shouldn't this be in the custom sub forum though?

Nice first go dude!

The colorway has been used on a SkullBrain before... and being a sneakerhead, I bet Hiddy was influenced more by the sneakers than by the jewelry they pay homage to as well.

ToyTokyo still has one for sale too.

Post Re: My First Airbrush Work...
Both pairs of shoes are killer, and that my fav skull brain of all time...

As for the mummy boy I like the concept, but i think the color is a bit off. Seems far too green. I think mixing blue and white then slowly adding green woulda been the thing to do. green tends to overpower other colors when mixing.

The black seems a bit heavy as well. a bit here and there would have been nice. maybe silver accents all around, saving the black for the eyes.... there are dozens of ways i could have seen this executed differently... Not necessarily better... But differently.

For your first shot, the mouth masking, and eyes look great. It's stuff like that people seem to screw up, or just don't bother trying to do.

next time you want to replicate a colorway you like. look up a previously painted version of that toy, and replace it's colors, with yours. that'll give you a nice layout, but with your colors. Eventually you'll get better at placing colors elsewhere. Otherwise great first shot! I'd say enter it... Why not!
