 Re: New Secret Base
I'd say it depends on the company putting out the LB. Say you like everything, or most everything, someone does it's not much of a risk ESPECIALLY when they've been cool in the past (Gargamel.) However, if they have a history of stinking (SB) then it's probably a bad move. Risk assessment.

Good idea. I kinda tried that but it didn't work. She likes KAWS' stuff, but mainly she's into expensive high heeled shoes.... sorry to derail, huh yeah... secret base....

 Re: New Secret Base
Just to derail this thread a bit more...
My nerdy girlfriend takes an active interest in my sofubi collection. She even arranged my detolfs and did a pretty damn good job.
Does your girlfriend know the difference between a walking, standing and crawling Hedorah? Mine does.

 Re: New Secret Base
my girl is huge into kathie olivas, lots of skelves around, loves shikaruna bunnies, random things, and shes an artist so the toys are not a problem, except if i try to sell something she likes, then its a problem

 Re: New Secret Base
kathie olivas' hazel's a nerdy chick's staple i guess but back to SB, the Balzac Kitties and Hysteric Glam ones are winners in there. the Spongebob one as well i reckon back to the marbled RC, i hope they put the excess ones up again if any. even better, another colorway. it's depressing that they turn up in a split second at the 300 mark by 'resellers'. sad that this trend is rampant even in the kaiju scene. good thing's that it does bring adrenaline to the hunt. you can't have everything all at once can you?

 Re: New Secret Base
wanting your gf to dig your toys is like her wanting you to go clothes shopping or watch some sappy chick flick. to all the females of skullbrain: please do not take this as a derogatory comment, i love and respect you and your sofubi interest. and i am really not stereotyping with my examples, i'm just basing this on my personal experience. though the relationships failure with my ex-wife and ex-gf in the years since i have been collecting toys had nothing to do with toys, they both fucking hated the toy thing. well, the ex-wife hated the toy thing, the ex-gf thought it was just pointless. ANYWAYS, i would go off on some long (probably annoying) tangent on toys, comics, etc. and they would show their annoyance...and later would want me to do some activity that was totally all about them. i never pointed out the similarity between our stupid behavior.....man, i'm so glad to be single.

 Re: New Secret Base
That is EXACTLY what the S.B. bags contain. . Rebel Captain red/white all marbled with gold pad printing, Usugrow B/W marbled 1/1 skull, Usugrow B/W marbled Salvation Ink, and the Obake/Ghoner dog heads on fight figure bodies are all un-released lucky bag exclusives. You get one or more of those figures with a bunch of random toys/clothes/trinkets. My perfect Secret Base lucky bag would have cool toys and clothes that ACTUALLY fit me. We should all hand write a letter asking them to change the way they toss in t-shirts. We should be able to list our sizes. I would rather have toys than clothes but that is how S.B. handles their lucky bags.

 Re: New Secret Base
I dont see whats so tough about putting a size tab when you order your lucky bags or even just allowing for it to be added to an email

 Re: New Secret Base
I listed my size with my email request just in case and that's what I ended up getting this time.
