I'm gonna top this 5 year old thread since I'm going back to the parks and at last count have about 175 pins to my name. (I've been buying them consistently since I made the thread in 2005)

Any newbies into this? I'm still doing mostly Haunted Mansion & event stuff. (This time I'm sure I'll get lots of Holiday pins) I'm going to pick up some binder pages when I'm there and will take a good pic to share with you guys.

Let the dorking out continue.

Last year all Christmas and New Year all the pins had been and gone by Christmas . . . . we had to pick 'em up from a dealer despite being there! :(

I hope some remain next week when we go. I think I'll minimally be able to get the passholder exclusives since less people can buy those ones. Crossing my fingers!

I've seen a few Christmas exclusives today. They have some great pins this year.

Out of curiosity how do you display the pins? Do you have those frame things with the cushions? Would love to see an updated picture of pin collections!

Nate, there's a few things that are sold for display. The most popular is probably the "pin bag" which is kind of like a messenger bag that zips open with 10 pages or so. This is NOT my collection, but something I grabbed from online:

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c132/ ... ion001.jpg

Then there's also binder pages, which is the route I'm going to go from now on. The bags seem nicer, but the pins spin around on the pages & knock into each other & also I feel like when I want to expand, I have to move them all (whereas with binder pages, you can just insert a new page where you want it)
You can buy flocked black plastic pages made for pins.

Others go for bulletin board/frame displays, and others still (mostly kids) wear their collection on lanyards or vests/jackets. haha. I would never wear mine. they are purely collectible to me.

I wish I'd seen this thread before. I've got about 400-500 pins collected from annual trips to Disneyworld for the past couple of years. I haven't photographed this year's haul, but here is my flickr set of previous hauls

PS: Are any of you on PinPics?

http://www.pinpics.com/cgi-bin/search.c ... ssy&list=o

There's my list. I recommend clicking on the upper right to see the images (instead of just the list of names)

Dork-tastic!

Have fun at DisneyWorld !!

Last time I went to DW was for the New Years 2000 party at Pleasure Island ... it was cool ...
B52's and Styx played live ..

I do remember my GF at the time did get some pins, most had the "2000" Disney logo on them ..

I'm raising this thread from the abyss. :P

I've been thinking about Disney pins ever since I saw this thread. My sister bought an annual pass and she's been coming home with pins on her lanyard. Now that I got a good look at them I asked her to buy me some.

Here's the first four pins she got me!

I haven't been to Disneyland since the early 1990's! Now that Nate has some time off during the weekends I might be able to squeeze a trip this Spring.

I blame you all for this new obsession!
