IT'S WORDS...ON A SCREEN.
Big fucking deal if somebody doesn't like you, or changes your post, or calls you an asshole, or whatever. I repeat:
IT'S WORDS...ON A SCREEN.
Why does everybody gotta cry when somebody's not nice? It's real easy to throw around words like "REAL FAN SHIT" or "DIE HARD", but then somebody calls somebody a nasty name, and it's drama fucking central.
Not to mention we're here to discuss toys. Not politics. Not religion. Toys.
Get over it everybody. Words on a screen... that's all it is.
Can we talk about toys again, please?
Words are probably the primary source of communication between people. Whether they are written on a piece of paper, scratched in the sand, spoken, or typed on a screen, words are full of message and meaning. Words are perhaps one of the most powerful “things” in the world.
Accordingly, I am trying to understand your point about certain things that have been “said” on this board as being “just words on a screen.” What are you trying to say? That we should pretend certain words have no meaning, or we should sometimes ignore their intended meaning?
From other things you write in your post, it seems that you may be saying don’t sweat it if someone calls you an asshole, tells you to fuck off, whatever… just don’t let it bother you. And that should be OK because the primary focus of the discussion is meant to be about toys?
Help me understand what your message is.

I hope Isaac brings back a Katana from Japan and kills this thread as swift as Lone Wolf slicing through a pack of goons!

At the end of the day, you don't have a black eye. Nobody threw their drink in your face. It's just words on a screen. If you want to let words on a screen get you bent out of shape and cry about it, I guess that's your perogative. Who am I to tell what to get upset about and what not to?
I'll just go somewhere else where people don't act like fucking babies when everybody isn't all "virtual hugs" & warm & fuzzy.
Whatever, I'll go back into hiding now. Y'all can sort this nonsense out more easily without an old asshole like me adding gasoline to this "raging fire".

dude you're not in the wrong by expressing your opinions.
he's just dragging more people into the mess....i have never seen anything like this... a sad bunch of men behind computer screens complaining about being victims. boo hoo...someone i don't know told me to go fuck myself...wah.
i didn't complain to anyone when i read the word f*g over here. i'm not typing it out because i've been called it too many times, and endured countless ridicule and broken ribs over it...but yeah...no complaints from me.
why you might ask? because at the end of the day what some moron behind a computer screen 6000 miles away thinks about me is completely irrelevant in the broad spectrum of things. is he ignorant for saying it? yep..not my problem though.
you call my friends out...i will say something though.
zomboid..you said it perfectly...let's just leave the trolls to it.
i hope if we ignore them all they'll just go away and leave the people who want to collect and talk about toys here to do just that.

Well, some people have typed out words on a screen that spelled "I'm out of here" and "I'm done with this board" and apparently those words had no meaning despite the conventional intenteded meaning of the words.

I have asked an honest, serious question. I am interested in moving forward to a place where this board is again a great place to talk about toys, share information, etc.; yet all you seem focused on is trying to bait me and post inflammatory remarks at every opportunity.

A profound thought that came to me while sitting on the toilet this morning:
From what I understand, Skullbrain was formed as an "anti-" board, founded by Ramos as a response to what was going on at the Kid Robot board. In a sense, it was born out of conflict and that spirit of conflict is very much alive and well when posters and/or certain topics come over here from there.
Sometimes it doesn't even seem like it has to do with that, though. Sometimes it seems like people are just spoiling for a fight for the sake of fighting. Again, carrying on that "spirit of conflict."
Like some other people here, I've never been to the Kid Robot forums, so I know nothing about them. I found this place through the Super7 web site when the previous board was taken down. I don't carry this "spirit of conflict" with me here, so when I see people arguing about stupid stuff carried over from this other place I've never been to, I don't get it at all.
And therein lies the dichotomy we face.
(Of course, I could have been full of shit.)

(I think)Skullbrain is part newsletter and part online community. I always felt that there's a rich tapestry of users, from varied toy backgrounds, and some with no toy collecting background at all. Due to an animosity amongst certain collectors and dealers there are probably some 'moles' trying to fuck up the 'other' teams game.
This is Ramos' show, so he does what he wants, and thanks for putting this up in the first place, but I'll be sad if he axes it. This is a better platform than the respective toy makers news pages.
Why is the life or the fun necessarily sucked out of this place due to a rise in bs content? I understand that due to the core users this place has a life of its own but it's (to me) news and discussion primarily and a community second.

Crap, you're making me get my soap box out!
The irony is that this kind of stuff did not happen on the old S7- Forum
Granted there were far fewer posts but it was always kept pretty civil.
I've seen this type of stuff on so many other boards it's not even funny.
This is exactly the type of behavior that an outsider would expect from "toy collecting geeks", so g'awn right ahead and feed the fuel that keeps the stigma going.
Somewhere in the not too distant past, collecting vinyls turned into something else for a number of people (mostly new into the hobby) It turned into a giant pissing contest. It wasn't about the vinyl anymore, it was about the acquisition of it and the fact that you could lord it over the rest of your peers.
Sounds like fun eh? But in reality this only leeches the soul and spirit of the hobby and allows it to regress into an infantile act of who's got more toys....
Or who can afford more toys, and then brag about it on various online forums... You know which ones I'm talking about, and lately this one too.
Moderators are there too moderate, I'll spare all the definition of the word "moderation" I think everyone realizes we've crossed that threshold big-time!
Lock this fucka up, rescind mod privileges if that's what you have to do to insure the continued health of the board and the community.
