 Re: Risers
Cant resist posting this - but I discovered a lego store in Glendale (suburb of LA) and they have this dealio where u cram as many components into a small or large beaker for 8 or $15 respectively. For $8 I managed to build some cool risers for slightly less than teh equivalent Apac boxes fomr teh Container store - not as sturdy - but WAY more fun.
The diaply I bulit uses a combo of lego and apac boxes. Provided no one jumps up n dopwn or there is an earth quake it should be good. Its been standing for 6 weeks so far.

 Re: Risers
This is what the small joes tiered risers (apex stand) looks like in a detolf. Crappy pics. Notice the Zag fits even on the top tier. Hope this helps. By the way, I ordered mine and they shipped them the same day. The box was on my doorstep two days later. Super fast.

I'd really like to see those lego risers...

 Re: Risers
Decided to build some risers out of IKEA Fundera blocks (a Kapla rip-off). Looks fine, sturdy enough if you build them well, cheap, rearrangeable, and eco-friendly! $10 for 100 at IKEA. The Kapla are a bit nicer and come in many colours, but are much more expensive... Two examples:

 Re: Risers
Those are great Oli. You could easily stain them or paint them quickly to suit your display, and tack them with small nails or glue for extra stability if needed. Great idea man!
