 Contest
Becasue you asked for it. I will run a contest. The prize will be a superfestival limited release TBD after superfest.
Simple contest. Tell me about the nicest thing anyone on this board has done for you in your collecting. This is your chance to be positive. The best story wins! I will have Brian and Ramos help me pick the winner.
Contest ends Oct 5th at 5pm PST.
Good Luck and be nice.

last year during the s7 halloween releases, i was one ticket short of getting the bonus figure. well, mr johnnyhotrod graciously offered his to me. i was ready and willing to pay for it, but he refused all forms of payment. even refused to allow me to pay him for the postage cost of him mailing it to me. i was able to get the all black GF(which led to a weird solid color s7 fetish of mine, but that is a diff story). i actually think his response to me wanting to pay for it was "what the fuck for?". a thousand thanks to mr hot rod for being so gracious to me.
glenn, you have done numerous things to help me as well, but i didnt know if i can include stories about you since this is your contest? anyways, let the record show that mr pogue has assisted me in my collecting and even sent me the dopest octopus kaiju creature ever(for free!)

I'm almost afraid to post any one thing as the nicest thing someone's done for me on this board... mostly because I have a poor memory and I wouldn't want to make anyone feel like their good deed wasn't the nicest.
But there have been all sorts of nice things people have done for me here...

There have been a few people who have really helped me out on the borad but my best experience(s) go to Shibby! In fact, I think Shibby should win this contest for his generosity.
I really wish I could say what he has done for me but unfortunately, this was something that I cannot share with the board... Let's just say he played SUPER GOOD FOR THE RFSO CROWD!
Thanks Shibby! You seriously kick ass!
Another big thanks goes out to BrianFlynn for helping me out with something that was almost impossible to get... and as I write this, I still can't wait till it arrives!
This board kills!

isaac and brian gave me a job at my favorite store. not only can i pay my rent, but i get to arrange, dust, open, and play with toys all day (plus little bits of honest work here and there) which is what i would probably do at home all day if i didnt need a job. super coolness!

Not as interested in getting any prize, as giving credit where credit is due...
Aside from putting up with turds like us on his message board, Ramos goes above and beyond in his duties for S7, and getting us all our little treasures. Shit, I only wish I could get customer service like that every place I go

not an official entry but Living Dead and Wizeguy have hooked me up with awesome shit trading, and Boxcrown, PigeonFarmboy and Wizeguy again were great when I needed loot to get some stuff I had on reserve with S7, and were all three totally nice even though I sent their stuff two days later than I told them I would.

I suppose I should give Pogue a special shout out ( YO DAWG) for showing me not to be afraid about sexual healing.

After the in-famous expensive ($270) Ubiq brain buy on YJ, which was followed by the seller absconding with the cash, Joel (aka Lamoursupreme) painted an amazing Ubiq brain picture for me to make up for the loss. He neither charged me for painting or shipping, in order to make it a totally magnanimous gesture. The painting is better than the brain! And that is saying something!
Other notable mentions:
Ramos for being a good friend, never letting me go short and for being the first really cool toy person I met in person.
Brian Flynn for creating a handpainted Frankenghost as a thank you for my contribution to Nerdquake, and for all the info he gave me from before the board ever existed.
Koji for amazing customs and including wonderful little things for me, like a set of henshin cyborg flyers I would never have got or seen any other way.
Glenn for sending some cool deals my way.
Cesar for carrying my bag of crap around after I left it in the Pushead line.
Living Dead for being an awesome man in Japan.
Havingmysay for including me on his custom Skullwing header.
PaulKaiju for blowing my mind with the Kaws custom he did for me.
Johnny Hotrod for buying the legendary SWAT off Mandarake suit before someone else did, because he knew I needed that suit to compete my bee collection.
Geo for dispensing with the Foul Flock at cost to me.
Loco for liking my RxH abduction story enuf to award me the Ika-runner up prize.
The other Loco for not bidding up Cocky.
and too many other people to name who have taken time to write to me about cool stuff. I am probably missing a ton of good deeds, so my apologies, but I think u all get the idea!

Too many good peeps and help to single one out...I guess it would have to be the numerous offers from fellow members either going to Japan or knowing someone going offering to get me anything i wanted...Couldnt ask for a nicer offer than someone on their vacation taking time out to hunt down a figure for me..That and thanks to Flynn and Ramos for their always looking out for us..

Not really an individual but as a collective. Thanks to RFSO for supporting my art. I wouldn't have anything to paint if it wasn't for these damned toys (aside from naked women and skulls). I also want to thank everyones genorous payments in vynil. Keep feeding my addiction as well as inspiration.

I will put my 2 cents in and then my entry and then a few thanks.
Oh and I'm not sucking up!
To me trades are great because both parties win. Hook ups are great, but you are also paying for them. All that is RFSO!!!!! and I love it!!
But the "nicest thing anyone on this board has done for me"
Was a trade I had with Pogue. He received my items, but I never got the package from him. We waited it out a little while, then he just sent me the items again. He explained the one wasn't sealed like the original deal, but DAMN!!!! That is so incredible!! I'm just hoping they were extra items he had aside for trades and not his own collection. That is RFSO!!!!!
THANK YOU!!
Okay this board has been great to me and my collection from great trades and deals with:
- dds3254
- Muton
- Ramos
- Brian
- Drew
- Scud80
- deemranks
- kubrickworld
- Plover
- rednecktex7
and everyone else that has been so nice around here with all the knowledge and help!! THANKS!!!!!
How could I forget the great offers form
JHOTTROD - Thanks man

Glenn hooked me up with the all black GF after I was an idiot and waited too long to send my tickets in.So instead of paying 200 plus for it I got it for 100 from Glenn.
Locomoco for buying me all the stuff my heart desired at comicon this year.

Tons of people have been great here...
Specifically Carl for picking things up for me at SDCC.
And Alice for making phone calls and extra trips in Japan to pick up stuff for me.
Thanks all!

also anyone who's sold me a skullwing... i think i got a pretty good deal on all of the ones i own. who wants to sell me a white flocked?
oh yeah... i also can't forget Plover pointing out that KT had a CF that he knew i was looking for.. that was awesome

i've had many positive dealings on this board. i've bought a lot of stuff off people, and everything has come without any problems. in particular, i did a trade with atwistedgiftshop, and not only was the trade soooo smooth and worry free, he added a bunch of unexpected goodies in the package. my wife may hate that i spend so much time online, and buy alot of seemingly stupid shit, but i appreciate the positive dealings i've had with everyone here. i'll have to cool it for the next few months....but i'll be back
thanks go out to:
plover, loco (both of em), drew, lostinky, shape, pelepree, augustwest, rhinomilk, atwistedgiftshop for selling me theirs and others buying my stuff

metyagojira- that guy made me smile my heart out.
when i was searching for spectreman stuff, i had only found some sketchy german site and posted it here.
mety i guess made the site, and he called me MICHAEL-SAN. that probably sealed the deal for me. but he gave me the link to the site in english, and gave me the lowdown.
efp3 also gave me a nice PM with info to find my kaiju whale, andit was nice.
basically, my spectreman thread was extremely informative, and everyone was all around awsome in it.

I'm hoping that the winner of this contest is one of the people who's done something good and not necessarily the storyteller...
i think almost everyone has a good story of someone selling them something at a decent deal. The people that go the extra mile for you are the best though; for example going out of their way to acquire something for you, or dropping cool stuff in the box with the toy.
There's also the people who know what you're collecting and they make sure that you know if something comes up in auction or at a store.
Another cool thing is people taking time to share their knowledge about stuff. Sometimes searching this site or others doesn't yield all the information it could, and there's always someone who can fill in the gaps. Then there's also the people who are kind enough not to say anything when you ask a stupid question or doesn't like your collection.
There's a ton of awesome people on this board and their good deeds are just an extension that they are awesome people.
