Wow, that's a tough question, where to start there have been so many. First of all Brian & Isaac for makin' happen and everybody else, you know who, you all rule and I'm glad to have you as friends.

But one of the first experiences I had was with Carl a.k.a. Muton. He sold me a Warp Skullbrain for less than others had offered because he knew it was one the two most wanted 'brains for me. Thinking beyond a fat pocket and knowing how stoked I'd be, I'm still stoked. My girl and I had the good fortune too kick it with Carl for about a second and he's an even nicer guy in person you, believe it.

I say let the honoree win the prize.

i know i'm not going to win but if i do my "prize" goes to john instead of me. by far he is the nicest fuckin' dude here...HANDS DOWN! he invited me over here (from KR...don't know if i should love him or hate him for that) he hooked me up with a sealed headshop brain (gotta feed the PINK) and he ALWAYS is honest and cool about everything and anything going on here. he has pointed out sales threads/yjp to me privately and publicly to all you other guys/gals out there in announcement threads and in general seems to have a positive attitude and fun with this. isn't that what it's all about?!

mentions:
lash for hooking me up with the first ranger release right when it came out because i posted i missed it.
lamoursupreme for working on a shirt design that i never got enough cash to do (sorry lamour)
S7 for giving us this place to act like kids

My vote goes to Moriachi!!! This man lugged two bottles of Rum for me from Australia, through Japan and then into the US. That is above and beyond for me AND the beauty of it is it was becasue we met through the board and it wasn't toy related.

Another cool thing is people taking time to share their knowledge about stuff. Sometimes searching this site or others doesn't yield all the information it could, and there's always someone who can fill in the gaps.

This is what I've found to be great about this board. I haven't bought much, so I don't have many stories of people helping me out with hook-ups. But when I first found out about the Skull Toys suits (and then Henshins) JHOTROD was very helpful in handing out info as to what bodies the suits would fit on, and what to look for.
Also, Ramos was very helpful in holding two Skull Toys suits for me until I figured out whether I could easily acquire bodies to put them on. This was my first purchase from S7 and it really amazed me at how well they treat their customers.

Pogue picked up a Hypnotic Cheshire Cat for me at SDCC this year. That was pretty darn nice of him, I think.

I too have had many good things happen to me here. In general the best thing has simply been getting to know a few people better, share a common interest and having a venue in which to chat it up and have some fun.

I guess when it comes down to a specific "good deed" I'll have to mention the Doc. He recently set me up with an amazing trade and his casual, friendly and easy going nature about the whole thing was nothing but straight up and awesome. Cheers Doc!

I'd also like to throw out a big thanks to Bryan. There's no question he's probably the most level headed guy on here. His love for toys, willingness to share info and see thru the bullshit is a huge plus for this board. Kudos to you "Mr. Sensible".

Wow, so many good vibes here, AWESOME! Great idea at the right time.

I have to post one story I totally omitted, but recently I nearly missed getting the Sly and Robby brain, and Rick (aka Blackshyr) spotted that I had been outbid by a relatively small amount. Unable to contact me, he went ahaed and bid on it using his own Id, and won it for me for an extra $10 or so. When I checked in the morning I thought, crap I got outbid, then logging onto SB I had a note form Rick saying "Dude, I bid on it for u, hope that is cool" - OH YEAH - nice one Rick!

DevilBoy.

Dude picked up a number of S7 things for me at SDCC.
Lugged them back and shipped them out to me.

I returned the favor (before SDCC, foreshadowing or whatever) my pointing out the occasional pink toy up for sale...

Creaturion hand-delivered an obake directly into my grubby paws all the way from Taiwan to the U.S. and didn't even charge for shipping. :D

Turtletooth carefully and paintakingly gave me step-by-step instructions on how to change the LED batteries in my CCP Hedorah eyes, so he is no longer 'blind'. I never would have figured it out by myself.

And of course I've had a number of fair and pain-free deals and trades with quite a few people on this board. Many of them I've gotten to meet face-to-face which is what makes this virtual community into a real one.

I totally agree that we should be nominating the person who has done the nicest deed and not the person with the nicest story!

I have to say that i've met and dealt with some really, really cool guys on this board. Many of you came out of the woodwork and helped me along through the rough times including Pogue, Locomoco, Shibby, Ramos, Geo, Creaturion, Ike, Jackie, JohnnyHotRod...the list goes on...

As for random acts of kindness, I was at Hybrid and told Brian that I didn't own a Ghostfighter and was going to pick one up. He reached over on his shelf and said, "here take this one". It was my first vinyl and I was hooked. Call it the free Crack approach, I call it coolness.

Second standout would have to be Locomoco slaving away in his garage busting out a custom Ice Brain for me. I've got #2 and damn proud of it!

Baikin for going to Gargamel and hooking me up with some figures I couldn't order from the site...

Ike for taking pity on me and selling me his beloved clear purple BlobPus...

But the winner for this contest must be Paul Kaiju. His custom BlobPus Wally is really my first vinyl love. I told him on several occassions that I knew it wasn't for sale, but that if he ever wanted to sell it, to let me know. In an amazing act of generosity, Paul said to me over a beer at the RFSO party in SDCC: "dude, you find me another BlobPus Innocent (clear with GID bb's) and I'll trade you straight up"  :D :D

wow...

EVERYone here has been so super cool with me :)

As far as hook ups man I cant even begin to know where to start, and would hate to leave anyone out.....

Where do I begin...

JHottrod for being like brother here !!! you where the first person I talked to on KR and it carried over here. Answered evey question with a happy answer, offered me figs that he knew I really wanted for what or below he paid.

Livingdead for the helping me get figs I wanted knowing I had nothing to offer him besides driving him nuts with PMs like "did you get it yet". Thanks for the patience when I get all giddy with a million questions :)

Devilboy for automaticly hooking me up with SDCC goodies.

Ramos for the hold box the sometimes fills up and then emptys ;) your patience should be rewarded with a with a national holiday !!

Paulkaiju, locomoco for all the help getting me started with painting.

Data for helping me get my fan art into Mori-Kuns hands for nothing in return !!!

All the love and suppot for my art from everyone :)

"Lamor"supreme ;) for the inspiration and talks about art and figs !

The list goes on and on and if I forgot you its only because there is so many good things that have happened to remember :) but these are the reasons why this board rules so hard.

I like how even though there is bull from time to time, after a few days and a new release we forget and become cool again, and get all giddy over toys :)

:)

Definitely the best experience I have had so far would be during the S7/Gargamel glow releases.

John (JHottrod) offered to buy one of the week's releases for me, even though i was trying as well, just to make sure i could complete my set.
We both got them that weekend, but I thought it was a really cool thing for him to offer.

In addition to this, he and Jackie have been really great to me, totally becoming some of the best friends I have made in a long time. If the world had more people like them around, we would all be a lot better off!

We're excited to be hanging out with you guys soon! :D

Oh and Glenn, this has been a really great way to cut the tension that has been over here lately. Bravo for running a great contest. :)

I couldn't even begin to name all the people that have helped me with my glow obsession. Just about every day someone pm's or emails me to let me know about an auction that they have found. Unfortunately, and this just proves how insane I am for the glow, it's usually for something I already have! :D

This board is the best on-line site I know to read about (at least in english) and see great pics of japanese vinyl, old and new. And you can ask questions and get answers from the many knowledgeable people here.

Thanks to Ramos, Brian, and Super7 for providing this great resource!

Cheers Dr.T!
Glad they found their way safe and sound. Happy to help. Got to keep the rum flowing you know!

And in return Dr.T was way more than generous in his thanks, passing on a couple of RAH figures to me for my cartage of the rum.

On top of Dr.T, there are a number on here who have helped me out with trades, sells and just info. Hottrod is always willing to help with info or what ever is needed. One of the originals and great server of the boards. Muton, Living Dead, The_Z plus others have all been outstanding members too.

Last year I placed a pricey order with Super 7. When I received the package it was not my stuff. I contacted Brian immediately, and let him know what had happened. He was very sorry, and said he would do some research to track down my stuff. He was able to locate it and so I sent the package I received to the rightful owner & the person who got my stuff sent me my package. Brian paid for the shipping cost of this. He also told me that he was going to send me a free gift. He didn't give me any clues as to what it might be. When I received the package my heart jumped into my throat. It was a glow in the dark Ghost Fighter! Hands down the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me in the toy collecting world period. Thank you again Brian for going way above & beyond to make me a happy customer. :D

Wow that is really awesome that Brian did that for you.
I had something similar happen to me recently. I had ordered a frankenghost figure and the glass, and I waited for a while with no package in sight, and then I sent a msg to Ramos. We figured out that my card had not been charged (I called my card company, he had an extra frankenghost) and I said "oh just send the figure, I don't really need the glass)
he put the glass in at no charge at all! Talk about really excellent customer service! S7 is the best hands down! :)
