 Last 10 songs on shuffle - ipod/iphone/itunes...whatever
Saw this thread in another forum, let's see how it works here:
Noxagt - Mek It Burn Aerogramme - Black Path Devo - No Place Like Home Lo-Pan - El Dorado Neurosis - Stripped Long Distance Calling - The Nearing Grave Melvins - Goose Freight Train Mayyors - Airplanes General Echo - Titanic Motorhead - (I Won't) Pay Your Price
Try to keep the format of Band - Song title. Makes it easier to read.

gatchabert wrote: A lot of older music...and a couple that will make some say "You listen to that?!?!" Nothin' wrong with older music. I've got more J.S. Bach than God and I ain't apologizing! If anyone gives you gruff for listening to The Stranglers, Velvets or My Bloody Valentine, that's their problem. Now if your list was dominated by GaGa, Bieber and Yanni we'd have to have a little talk...

Re: First 10 songs on shuffle - ipod/iphone/itunes...whatever
Pardon another interruption...
Is everyone using iTunes or are peeps using other jukebox software? I'm curious because it seems that some of iTunes' "Genius" DNA has seeped into its non-Genius shuffle functions. I asked my Apple buddy about this and he's on the fence about it. Sometimes shuffle-by-song yields what appear to be associations that aren't 100% random. For example you might get "I Feel Free" by The Byrds followed by a cover of the same song by Bowie followed by a cover of "Heroes" by King Crimson and so on. It's totally possible that this is a coincidence but sometimes iTunes random seems to favor such correlations. There are some conspiracy theories out there that it favors the best-known songs by popular artists. I haven't personally noticed that, but other things seem weird, like ... in a collection of 60,000 songs by a huge number of artists, why does my iTunes default to Man or Astro-Man so frequently while ignoring other artists by whom I have just as much material?

It is refreshing that we seem to be music lovers instead of genre followers. Loving all this diversity.
