Post Super7 Ordering Problems - Anyone ?
Hey , I was just curious if anyone else had any problems ordering off the S7 site today. I was left hi'n dry for the BB Chaos because nothing seemed to function properly. My morning went as follows:
1. Try typing in my password and recieve error message - WHAT !
2. Place item in basket and go to check out, now I get a request for ALL my personal information wich has NOT changed for the last 2 years or so - OKAY - followed by my item vanishing from my shopping cart - BS !
3. I try it one more time and add the item to my cart - guess what, the same exact shit happens all over again - Total FRUSTRATION and i'm late for work too !

Anyway, I must have 20 or more passwords floating around different shops or internet sites, and they ALL work fine. I guess i'm just wondering why the S7 site seems to constantly have problems. I know some of you out there have also had these problems as well and I just wonderesd if it had happened to you today as well.
Oh yeah, what became of the ASK YOUR SPONSER thread ?

Isn't the new webstore supposed to be up soon? :)

I had similar problems with all the gargamel mini releases.. I had posted about it in the (now gone) s7 forum...
I assume all will be fixed with the new store.

new site is coming when I get back. almost ready. unfortunatly there is a logic issue with these fast sales. If I put up 10 figures and 30 people add to the cart at the same time, there is no way for the system to figure out who really get them. right now the system just freaks out when all the people are hitting it at the same time and drops it out the cart.

if you are a programmer and have a solution to this problem let me know.

If that's a continuing problem then you might need to add a bit of logic saying that when item added to cart, check against both quantity in stock and also what the time-stamp is. This should then sort the users based on time -- let's say you have an item with 10 pieces in stock. The system would sort users based on pieces vs time.

That logic is faulty because if we take it out of stock when added to cart then what if people don't buy it, that item is in limbo. if you check the stock after the credit info is in, that is too late too.

As fast as these sell out how would the item end up in limbo. I'm sure some people would welcome any email saying the item is still available if they want one. Just a thought - :D
