Amazing. I love that lion belt buckle. Glad to see other brainers scoring them for sure.

I love this, except for the hair. Although it seems to be painted with some interesting colours. I love the lion belt the most.

Got a chance to check out the Gorz in person and have to say, the devil's in the details.
The package is insane from the box design to the insert holding the toy.
Along with that, the toy itself has some insane mind blowing things that makes me NEED one.

Wow. No pictures of the Görz with their helmets off?
The cyborg heads remind me of the Mad Baron.

I think these are my favorite toys of the last couple years.
So much quality and detail versus the other junk that just gets cranked out...

Yeah not many pictures floating around at all, which makes me think it will be a while before I can get one in my chubby hands. I agree some of the best toys of the past year or more.

I really didn't think about taking the helmet off, but I have this close up. May be soon I'll try to do it.

DAMN, that box art for the Gorz is nearly worth the price of admission alone - and to think you get a sick toy as well

I grabbed a Tokio because of the Henshin Cyborg homage and cool hairdo

and the sneakers or tie shoes....

This is my favorite fresh toy "company" in a while. It's been mentioned before, but even the packaging is so over the top and incredible work, when he could have just phoned in a header card and plastic bag.

Just insanely great.

Someone sell me a red gorilla (2nd release).....

Yeah, I think there are also other companies that have real 'art direction' (I'm thinking of Gargamel as an example or Bemon) but Ilu Ilu definitely has taken the packaging design more than one step further and seems to be very consistent with each release. The Gorz packaging is really crafted, as much as the actual toy. Not to mention the Gorillas. I'd love to pick up one of those Tokio cyborgs sooner or later, part of the excitement for me is definitely in all the design surrounding the actual toy.

Since no one posted helmet off pics I found some on this blog:

http://blog.goo.ne.jp/gunchenger

You're right looks just like Mad Baron. Really would like one but can't justify the hyped prices, nor my unemployed ass purchasing one. One day....

ii's attention to detail is seriously mind blowing - Gorz sans helmet is unreal on so many levels! Thanks for the link and soooo happy I was able to grab one!

Nice pics Chris!

It's just so insane that there's so much detail and attention to parts that aren't immediately obvious.
The dials?, the "jewel" eyes,....

I come away with the idea that the guy REALLY loves toys and toy design and is striving to create the best toy versus just going for the money grab. That he has a full time job, but that this is an obsessive side hobby and since he doesn't need to crank out product to pay the rent, he can really go all out...

Then again, I could be wrong

I think out of everyone on this board - I need the Gorz more than any of you others... Let me get my vintage kicks!
But I'm glad everyone is feeling toys WITH packaging that isn't just another digital color header and a baggie.

IluIlu is easily one of the best toy lines.

That said...
