Painting the head pink? its because of the reference, not necessarily because the head is a differerent color. this. he could have easily made the head black too but he took it to the next level and added a little nod to a part of the story. i appreciate that. just my opinion, btw. don't no one get bent out of shape over it.

Every other toy maker does tributes, often the same ones over and over again based on pre-existing IP's from movies or shows or comics. What is up everyone's butt about this?

I didn't even see them go up for sale; I must be slackin' these days. I was hoping to snag an Oji to match his killer Cadaver Kid.

TiredChildren wrote: Changing the subject for a second… Did anyone pick up one of D-Lux's Neo Hawaii Ojisans and change their mind? Different words, same subject... Seriously, I don't really think you can accuse Luke of "Cashing in" on anything. I haven't bought any GS toys yet, because I'm just not a fan of the sculpts (Maybe it's something you just have to get in hand to appreciate), but Luke is traveling down every road you can imagine with his toyline. He's taking chance after, chance, and painting them in a D. Vader color scheme, isn't going to make people want these guys anymore than they already do (which if you haven't realized by the 146 pages of this thread, is a whole lot). Way to pick on something that's obvious, and pass by the small town biting, that's "actually" happening all over the toy world these days. *Disclaimer ALIT's is welcome to his opinion as much as you and I are willing to disagree, I've always felt him to be a swell guy.

By this reasoning, anyone who paints a toy from now on better check on all previously used color pallettes, so as not to steal anyone else's design. No two people or companys should paint a toy the same. Not even if they are two completely different and unrelated sculpts... why so uncritical??? i dont mind homages, great, but basing most colorways & toys on popular sought after designs by other artists seems more like a lame marketing driven concept to secure high profits, rather than a coincidence. I know it isn't Grody Shogun. 99% of Luke's color schemes have seemed pretty original to me. I like to see artists/ companies come up with original paint as much as the next guy. But, it's also nice to see some other influences come into play too. Shows a little of the artist's personal preferences and adds a little fun. Remember that thing fun?

I can't wait for my freakin Mucky Monster to show up. I think these delays are a subtle nod to other companies who have had delays. So unoriginal.
