I think Hirota Saigansho was using the different colored missiles to tell who flipped. I find it interesting you did not post a pic of that missile with the auction...Or I guess you were trying to protect the original winner/flipper.? I thought you were a jerk before and now I think you're also a liar.

I just think it's hilarious a toy with a run around 30 (they usually are, maybe it's not, no numbers on feet, but every release since the green has been around 30-40) went for $2000+. LOL. What a sucker. Was it the main Medicom dude? He seems like the type to drop that and not blink.

So running a store as a flipper is OK, but being an individual just making a few bucks isn't ok. Hm.

A run of 30 in this scene is big, just saying. I have to agree with Blooddrinker on that its hilarious to see someone pay that much for one.

he thinks someone on here bid it up so that they could stall the auction when they don't pay.

I think if he would have done his HW he would have never been taken advantage of and this would have never happened. Not even the og gorillas go for over 1k, so that would be a pretty good indicator when someone's trying to screw you over.

Post Re: oust the flipper
a message to everyone, from Natalia.Pritt:

"I'm so tired of people like you. You need to understand that NOT EVERYONE GET BEMON ON ITS RETAIL PRICE. At least not me. I'm selling the item just enough to pay for ebay fees and all that, not making profit whatsoever, but of course you do not know that, do you. Everything is so black and white with your little community. Oh that guy put up things in ebay so he must be the villain, with no reason whatsoever. It must be so easy being you. I am not interested nor do I have time to meddle in your english Bemon community. I do communicate with Japanese toy communities, and sometimes I do sell the item to the Japanese community as well, even more than I do in ebay, there is no difference in price, as far as I know of. Here, let me show you how much White Bemon cost in Japan: http://goo.gl/ksbUu and tell me once again I am making profit off the sales I do in ebay for the exact same Bemon. If you know even a little math or know how to convert currency you know the answer, and I hope you wake up soon from your delusion, making villains off random ebay sellers for no reason whatsoever. There is only 5 Bemon being sold at retial price and coming off to a seller saying things like, wow retail price is only 300 USD, whay are you selling it for 2,000 USD is the most utterly stupid thing I have ever heard of, just amuse me to no end. Does it not ever occur to you that I get mine at 2,000 as well? You cannot get this item at retail price, and those who do, does not sell the item. So how am I supposed to get the item? I pay 2,000. I take some nice pictures and then I sell the item at 2,200 because ebay charges 10% fees. Then people like you flock to me and complains that I should sell the item at 300 USD. What kind of BS is that? I bought the item at 2,000 and I should give it to you at 300? Why not you complain to Honda, the maker of the toy instead?"

edit: Also, I get it. This is a thread about flippers on SB. But I thought this was an interesting tirade about how it's justified by the other side of the coin.

I doubt any amount of homework would stop someone from trying to trade flip.

I would still like to know who won the auction and sold it to him for a large sum back door style. Provided of course his story is even true, which I'm starting to doubt, but if it is, that guy NEEDS to be outted...

Post Re: oust the flipper
I know I'm the scapegoat of the month but I've got enough to deal with that I'm not going to answer all of of these questions.

If I post what color the missile is I might rat out the seller, and I'm not going to do that to him/her. It was a transaction agreed upon by both parties, and it was my decision to go through with it. Given the stance I made about this thread earlier it would be lousy and hypocritical to go out someone unrelated to the issue at hand to divert the attention to what's going on. I'm respectful enough to keep a transaction private and not trade around someones personal information. Yeah, I bought it at a huge markup to use as trade bait. He/she would have just sold it to someone else. The economics of this hobby are insane and sometimes straight cash offers don't seem 'sincere' or 'worthwhile' enough, even if both offers have the same cash 'value'.

As for the xenophobic remark by Hirota about international sales, do you think he was being serious? Several jus from pretty much every release get sold on YJA. (Even by Hirota himself sometimes) By alienating everyone outside of Japan more people would have to compete on YJA (a centralized marketplace location) and hype up the prices further. But he would get to save on international shipping costs and hassles every release...

Sometimes I've sold things a few days after I got them in hand. Sometimes I sold them months and sometimes even years later. The fact is that some things appreciate in value as soon as they're not available anymore. Yes, everyone here is a flipper. Some just have strategies to keep their ego intact, like hoarding up a 'collection' (of stuff that just sits around in the shipping boxes sometimes) and pawn it all off later at an even bigger markup. Yet, do they undergo the same scorn of those who do it short term? You're all a bunch of pieces in the game and the only winners are the manufacturers who get rich off the hype generated by discussions like this. Don't kid yourself that some of these 'artists' aren't purely financially motivated. I've had some truly psychotic nag offers come my way, but guess what? Unless Shig finally does an open run things are never going to change.

Yes I resold 2 of those Mummy Boys. They had markups but guess what? Without me wtfunks might not have a complete MB collection. Someone one else was going use a similar method to do the exact same thing if I didn't. And guess what? Super7 still doesn't care. It was so obvious that if they only did a quick cross-reference of what I've ordered and what I was selling they could have stopped me. But they don't mind, I'm just another gear in their machine. I don't even want to talk about other toy companies.

Grizzli, only do what you truly want to do. If you enjoy collecting overpriced, artificially hyped pieces of plastic and all the stigmas attached to the hobby don't let this incident stop you. Know this, I've been in this hobby long enough to know for certain that all the fluff and rainbows about resell is a farce. In a perfect world that doesn't exist this might be the case, but Audio has already said it as it is. I've seen the scenarios he has mentioned hundreds of times over. I know you've flipped stuff like me and I'm fine with that. Just don't fall into the manufactured lie of altruism here and elsewhere so people can take advantage of you. The flipper police, mods, and guys giving bro-slaps everywhere have agendas and self interests and don’t mind doing the same things I've done as well. (Ask me about the time where I bought from the most respected member of a forum for double retail and he forgot to mention it was broken!)

I've bought at retail, sold at retail, bought at a markup, sold at a markup, bought for cheap, sold at a loss. It's how it works, and I wont forget some of the people who go way out of their way to tell me how thankful they are that I dealt with them.

I'm not going anywhere unless someone decides I'm worth banning. In which case it would be stupid not to ban pretty much everyone else here and make this place a ghost town.

Wow... I'm not sure who Natalia.Pritt is but I think she needs some finacial and mental help. Does she really think she's providing a service by over paying for a product to resell for little to no profit? Seems she's just preventing toys from finding loving homes.

Okay she's the seller of those clear bemons that have been up for the past 2 fucking years. Good on ya Pritt

Your arguments are invalid if you have to also use the word "some."
Stop justifying your actions, step up and say you flip and trade flip and be a man about it.
I'd at least semi respect that.
You just look like a weasel trying to cry that everyone else is doing it so why shouldn't you.

I agree that several manufacturers just don't seem to care, whatever they may say. I sincerely doubt any of them is actually getting rich, though. If they wanted to make money, they'd be doing something else or using more licensed products (unlike Secret Base, Bounty Hunter... oh wait.).

But if you think about the socio-economics of this hobby, wouldn't you say most collectors have got some degree of economic freedom? I mean, 100$ chunks of plastic? Many, many of them? Yes, you hear people saying they're selling toys to pay bills, but overall, I think most people here have got stable jobs and disposable income. My point is very few people here -need- to flip or sell for profit. Some do, sure, but most would rather offer rarer items where they will be appreciated. I know I do. And I certainly have been on the receving end quite a number of times. Like Audio said, some of us are just geeks with a hobby who, without being totally naive, still believe in a sense of community.

Actually I'm starting to think she is a little unhinged....

"I want the item, and there is no other way to get it. I am a collector, with limited cash, too. Who are you to determine whether I am a collector or not. To me you are not a collector. You complain and such and you don't really have anything, do you? I'm a collector, I bought it off a little bit expensive (...because there is no other way to get this beautiful item), but I own the item, and in the end, and I am happy to own it. What I am simply asking you to do, is simply do not buy the item, but please stop giving me all this talk about 'why are you not selling the item at retail price'. Maybe because I am not getting it at retail price? doh? I'm not asking forcing you to buy either. I'm happy to own the item for all eternity at the price I bought. I need to save for to Green Bemon (first edition) which will cost me about $5000."

I don't even know what she's saying anymore. I'll stop now.
