That's awesome! Are they just placed in there, or did you glue them down?

I put a bunch of GID sofubi in my bedroom to see what it would be like. Lights Out, they become monstrous night lights. RxH Kabuki Evil glows brightest. Various Dream Rocket kaiju glow prettiest. Surprising how long some of the glows last. Feed your inner kid now and then.

If you pick the right people, this hobby can be such a blast. I had Any of KK here last week and me him and my wife went out for dinner. Such a great time, I totally got Andy drunk on some great margaritas. It was funny shipping him off on the train knowing full well he was drunk. Good times ! Wait? What?!? I was in New Haven??? That is an awesome idea which I will now totally steal (with credit given, of course). In 17 days I'm marrying the love of my life and together we are honeymooning in San Francisco for the sole purpose of stuffing ourselves and shopping for toys and records.

Congrats man! My wife and I met in SF and someday we're heading back out for a delayed honeymoon full of food, tattoos, trouble and toys.

That is so cool your going to honeymoon in SF. Makes me proud to live were I live. Whats positive for me??? To be honest it has been really hard for me to stay positive in the last 6 months with the feds crackdown. But Im alive and still have a job.

On a similar note I gathered all my gid figures up & gave them a blast with my recently acquired LED Lenser torch, they actually lit the room up for a good couple of minutes.....I think I was more impressed than the kids

Re: On a positive note ...
I was thinking about doing the same thing Rich, too much negativity lately on the board.
All the awesome people I've met on this board, all of the CASK crew are great people and I'm lucky every chance I get to hang out with them. So happy about starting my own business and my wife wanting to be a part of it every step of the way. Basically just life in general.
On a toy note getting those Zofbie toys made my day.

Re: On a positive note ...
I get a real kick from checking out Skullbrains early days. There were some really good conversations, about toys, history, and the future. I'd like to see the in-depth, and informative talks, make a comeback. Whenever I get to high headed, about the time I spend here, I just stop and think about the guys that have been collecting for 30 years, and the laughs they must get from some of our disputes.
One thing that I love, about SB, and the indie toy industry, is that it feels like a throwback to punk rock. Our heroes reside among us, and are here to give us advice, and push us in the right direction. Punk rock, was a culture that celebrated those same ethos, and I see it present here, whether or not your into 3 chord progressions.

Re: On a positive note ...
Thank you for starting this thread too. I hope it overtakes the negative ones. It makes my day to see new Bwana sculpts, the PK releases, anything and everything Gargamel, and Greasebat, and it goes on and on. The creative spirit on this forum is incredible, and I've met so many talented artists just because I signed up here. Tired Children's Giving Back thread, that has endured thru March! Just when I think I've seen it all, the artists get better and better, and I get that thrill all over again. The personal generosity on this forum is amazing from people I hardly know. TAG shows, and LASK bring it all together right in my backyard.

I have been a hardcore kid for years now and the scenes are so similar that I fell into this really easily. All the great conversations I've had with people on this board and people making toys and painting toys and just really appreciating this scene has made me grow to love it . It's the best thing to happen to me since finding Straight Edge.

Once in a while I just rip the box open but it's never as good as when I wait till it's not actively nagging me to open it. When it does get opened, there are those minutes or even hours of childlike wonderment before I return to being a cynical old punk. Nah. I'll take the day off if I know something really good is being delivered that day, and open it the moment it leaves the mailman's hand. No waiting for me!

Great idea for a thread! I had a phat tax return so I bought two different bottles of single malt scotch instead of the cheap, bottom shelf blended crap. But I've been hitting the gym hard every night after work and feel too guilty to drink any of it.
I see Greasebat mentioned a few times in this thread- thanks guys. That is a huge deal for me. So happy with what we have planned for him! I think you may dig it.
My daughter's in the 3rd grade now, she had an awesome report card and gets consistently high marks in "conduct" and "effort", plus she has a healthy interest in science and art. I helped her build a solar system model a couple nights ago, and all we did was make jokes about "Uranus".
