These just came in the mail--really cute Kliban kittee postcards . I remember when Kliban Crazy shirts were widely available in Hawaii. Seems as if his vintage stuff is becoming harder to find and even collectible...

Just got the Elegab picture book. Sadly, it didn't included his drawings for King Smog and Oil Shock, but it's still really neat.

Re: The "What You Got In The Mail That Isn't A Vinyl Toy" Thread
(skullbrain to show scale)Finally got a frame that fits this amazing poster after a few failed attempts, haha. The 20"x27" at Ikea is actually the outer dimensions, so it wouldn't even fit inside the frame. And the larger frame seemed to be just way too big for me. So after deciding against the larger frame at Ikea, I went to Michaels and got a 20"x30" frame... Took it home and realized that it was less than an inch too narrow, I guess the poster is closer to 21"x29". So today went and swapped it out for a 22.375" x 34" frame at Michaels. Which worked out nicely, since this week they are on sale 50% off, plus an additional 20%. So it came out to only $13.19 before tax.

You know what would make that print really pop? Matting behind it. Maybe white or off white. Definitely lose the cardboard backing (or is that just the lighting- it's hard to tell?)

Re: The "What You Got In The Mail That Isn't A Vinyl Toy" Thread
Yeah, I've gotta get matting for it. For now I just have the frame insert turned inside out, its a news print/greyish color. Just figured I would take a quick picture though, seeing how I know some people were curious about framing it up. But this weekend I'm planning on heading over to the art supply store and get some matting. Thanks for the color ideas!

I scored a trike, from my Aunt, it was my uncle's but he passed away a few years ago, and my aunt asked me if I wanted it... Hell yeah! I'm going to get a sweet pirate flag for it.

These look great and the price is right! I got a bunch of books in the mail... Wacky Packages (collection of 1970's series art), the Cereal Book (great reference photos of old cereal boxes) and Culinaria :France.
