Okay, forget I ever said anything about color vs black line work - this is even way more amazing now that it's colored!
What type of paint do you use for your brush/line work? The opacity of your linework is great - I would have thought it would be tough to acheive that opacity on plexi using a brush.

The close up shots where you can see the color underneath are crazy, that looks really great, nice job.

What can I say? You guys are the reason why I paint. (aside from the vynil payment of course). I really feel inspired by the love of toys. Guess it just comes through in the art. My short term goals are: keep bringing the level of art higher and higher with every comission so you guys don't get tired of looking at me.
Thanks everyone and Steven, that Kraken is insane. I'd love to see a Kraken inspired Kaiju. Awwww yeah! Simplified a bit to look a little 80s retro.

Kranken kaiju will rock. It will definetly kick major **s.

Yes, 1/4" clear plexi. Black outline on the front and reverse painting on the back for depth.

true..but lately I have gotten really obsessed with 'Baby' versions.

A kind board member alerted me last night to a set of Kaiju Baby racerslast night..on YJA..scooped em up. ONE IS A BABY KANEGON in a musclecar!

I wonder why I like the baby/superdeformed ones so much?

Yup, baby version is all the rage now.Kraken have never been done. It's only natural that a large version done first, then followed by othe variation.
take the Rumble Monster's Pharaohs, now they have it in baby form.

Japanese culture has always been about the "cute". My only guess is that the superdeformed baby ones are new and way limited compare to all the other Kanegons that have already flooded the market.
