Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff One thing I really admire about what Luke is doing is he is experimenting with the paint jobs on so many levels. And as he digs in deeper, he really finds the character of his toys more and more in my opinion. I know it's not for everyone, but these mixed, dripped or rubbed paint styles really stand out to me. The color combinations are also getting better and better. Although sporatic these paint apps definitely look like they had some thought put into them.  red eyed variant maybe?

I know this is a bit off current topic, and Luke has been pumping out new stuff left and right, but I was just curious if anyone had heard something on the NYCC design-your-own cutoms monsters? I would love to start seeing some of these when Luke takes a break. I guess he might be doing them one here and there, and waiting till every one is completed, to avoid all the message requests.

I'll def say this... whatever technique he used on these (as i look at my Kara), is astounding. the paint is so seamless in the blending, and coverage it almost looks like it's in the vinyl... I'm truly jealous of this ability. This Kara, paint wise, is one of the best put together, and best looking pieces in my collection.
