Not necessary strange or rare, but I was forelorn to see another quite nice Daimajin escape my greedy clutches.

Image
(sorry, couldn't rotate the pic) here

On a relatively unrelated note, has anyone noticed an overall trend on YJA towards ridiculously high prices ( hahaha, more so that usual)? I mean, the Japanese collectors have always had deep pockets, but it seems lately to be complete blowouts. Unless there are one or two millionaire collectors buying up everything  Deep waters for the lowly folks like me to tread anyway.

Yes, I've seen some utterly insane prices lately (like a giant size, sealed Nakajima wrestling figure go for 330,000 yen!!! - the shark-toothed guy, not Tiger Mask). The price on the Daimajin, though, seems pretty good.

Hmm. Not rare or valuable, not even really kaiju although it came up in my regular search for old vinyl. Just thought this is odd. The japanese seller is moving this foreign Santa toy and was trying to accessorize for the shot. The holiday dish towel is spot on, but Stonehenge?

Buy this santa toy and it will offer up the souls of your loved ones to the dark elder gods of Merrie Olde England. It will then clean up the mess in the kitchen and leave you something nice. That is if nice means leftover body parts and a lump of coal.

It's good to know that we're not completely globalized yet, and that cultural differences can still entertain.

Alittle less than I figured it would end at. This one is totally original and in very nice shape. I've seen ones w/ replaced/repaired eye stalks go for over 300,000 Yen. If I could afford it, that is the one toy I would love to have.

it's not even a good looking poster. rather boring, to be honest. it looks like a poster that's selling other posters.

edit: i know those are box cover designs

Completely awesome Gatchaman talker from the other day for ¥124k. Of course OKU** was the winner.

It's a Takara Henshin Cyborg costume for Shonen Cyborg. I think its Apolloid Z.

Ahh, thanks. I did not realize it was only a costume - it looked like a solid vinyl piece. I thought the seller just mislisted it. But now that you mention it, yes, I see that it is indeed only a costume (especially from the rear photo).

Oh Kobe Toy, why must you part with your NFS items when I am no longer there? :( These are actually in excellent condition, not that I have 15k lying around.

I remember that, Shinjuku Mandarake I think it was. That is where the $35,000 Garamon was at and sold. Or was it $50,000? Been a while!!!

A vintage Popy Mini Inazuman went for a steal! I forgot to bid, but it's a nice figure. Does anyone know if this is the only Inazuman that was issued by Popy? Was there a standard size Popy? Thanks in advance...

Brian and the others will add to the list...but there's a standard-sized MFV, Grace. Bandai, technically. Same thing with a standard removable-mask Inazuman. Oh, and I have a Popy mini of him too, but it's different from the one in that auction...but I can't find a pic of him online...

Thank you Sanjeev! :P Can you please post a photo of your Popy Inazuman mini? I'm curious to see what your version looks like. The Bandai standard size, removable mask version is quite super duper. I could only find pics of Inazuman amongst Brian's collection:

viewtopic.php?f=30&t=14371&start=50
(5th photo down, in his post)
There are lots of small versions, and I'm curious to know what they are!
I wish Brian would have a rotating "museum" of his collection at the store, I'd brave parking in the Haight to go see that :D

I have this one. It came packaged with a bunch of other heroes from other series (not those on either side).
