I drove by Origami and Vacation Vinyl at ten, and there was a crazy line at both. I drove up Hillhurst to High-Fidelity, and there were three people in the store! I got about half my purchases there, and the other half when I went back to Vacation a couple of hours later. Photos on my instagram.

Raw Power 2 disc LP
Lee Hazelwood 2 disc LP
Uncle Tupelo -No Depression LP
T. Rex Electric Warrior LP
Ugly Custard LP
Lou Reed Rock & Roll Animal & Transformer LPs
Here's Little Richard LP on red vinyl

Avengers -Teenage Rebel, We Are the One & Paint it Black 45s
Doomriders & Sweet Cobra - DEVO tribute 45
Pussy Galore EP
White Stripes 45
Small Faces Itchycoo Park & Tin Soldier 45s
James Brown 45
Shuggie Otis 45
Flaming Lips/Mastodon - A Spoonful weighs a Ton 45
RUN DMC/Carolina Chocolate Drops - You be Illin' 45
Aretha Franklin/Otis Redding - Respect 45
MC5/Afrika Bambaataa - Kick Out The Jams 45
Ric & Ron Records 1958 -1962 unreleased 45 box set

Congrats to those who scored Raw Power. It was the one first to go at the 3 stores I checked out (and I was early in line for the first store). Seems like there were only one or two per store. Picked up the live Iggy & neo-Stooges at ATP picture disc to ease my pain, along w/ the Gorillaz/Andre 3000 single & the Flaming lips/ Heady Friends dbl disc. Never saw the Mick Rock tins - don't know if I would have gotten one, but wanted to see what the Bowie one was like.

had a good time, missed some stuff i wanted [refused, arctic monkeys, white stripes] but happy with my scores..

raw power, janis joplin - pearl, atmosphere/uncluded picture disc, regina spektor 7", justin townes earle 7", mike watt/chuck dukowski split 7", james brown 7". also picked up grinderman 2 rmx on CD & silversun pickups seasick 10" since they were on sale.

also, grabbed a handful of 7"s from the deathwish sale & finally ordered the star & dagger ep from Chad since i've putting it off.

Damn I just got back from Newbury comics and they still had 2 copies of Raw Power. I regret not getting it.

I saw the iggy mick rock tin, but it was like 45. The same reason i passed on raw power for 30 and the bowie starman for 20.

Post Re: Record Store Day
There is a good chance that this release of Raw Power may have simply had it's premier at RSD & will be widely available soon. A record store employee suspected this & I snooped about online & found posts that also suggested this. (Last year, I picked up a couple of Grinderman singles on RSD that I can still easily get today as regular, non-RSD releases.) I think most RSD releases are special, limited editions, but some are not. (And who knows, the next release of Raw Power may not have the book or something like that.)

Post Re: Record Store Day
I went to four different stores and didn't see the Misfits record anywhere, which is the only thing I really wanted but couldn't find. My haul!

7"
Feist/Mastodon
Flaming Lips/Mastodon
Florence and the Machine
Lemuria
MC5/Afrikaa Bambataa
The Mynah Birds
The Ropes-Demo II

12"
Childish Gambino
Ringworm-Justice Replaced By Revenge

My sister picked up the Doomriders/Sweet Cobra split (doing Devo covers), which I regret not getting after hearing it. I wanted to get Raw Power, but couldn't justify spending the money on it today when it's just an early release. Overall, a fun day, even without a bigger list of things I was interested in. Although not having to decide between different things, only to try to hunt them down later, is a nice feeling.

That turned out to be one of my favorite purchases - both covers are great.

I didn't know about it, and when I got to the place by me they were literally still taking all of there record store release stuff out of the sealed cases. Only RSD stuff were in them too. So Im guessing it is. Also its on like a brown clear with hints of grey in it. I was pretty surprised when I saw it. Im going to stop by the shop tm and see if they have anymore. Ill let you know coma.Good possible thy might have some left because they have a small amount of records(More of a clothing/ tattoo shop).
