Mail day brought a huge smile to my face as it will be the last for a long time. Sold my only Anraku for it. Pretty much the most perfect hero figure ever created (a title shared with Thundermask).

Finally! Even I've been eagerly anticipating these guys' arrival. Two excellent examples right there. I love all removeable mask guys, and the contrasting shape and size of the other makes a very nice set. Congrats on the Red duo.

Thanks, yeah the only thing that would have made them better is the swords but I'm cool with it. I recently saw two of the non removable mask versions (shorter) go pretty cheap ($65- $90) on YJA. One had a sword, but they were not as in good of shape. Oh well I didn't feel like dealing with middleman, waiting for a ship date, and bidding so...

Now I just need the clear. Is there a jumbo (bigger than the removable mask version)?

As far as what I have seen, the Bandai large size figures are all roughly the same size (the bodies are very similar - could be the same mold even, with some sculpting adjustments, and the heads are identical). The removeable mask version you have seems to be the same. There is the possibility of a rare giant version that could have been part of a display or something, but for the most part the only jumbo sized figures larger than this scale are the Kamen Rider villains.

The scale on the first image looks to be about the same as to what I was referring to *unless yours is actually smaller than I initially supposed. The second image poses a bit more of a challenge. Going off of what I think to be the larger sized Mirrorman and Rainbowman figures, I think it is the same, but if these are jumbos or versions above the standard large-size, then I am not so sure. There is the standard 12" removeable mask versions, and jumbos I think are around 15". There is also a super giant sized Mirrorman (21.5") so it is not inconceivable something exisits in that scale.

I just don't want you to drive yourself crazy hunting down a larger version that may or may not exist. Sorry for monopolising the thread, anyone else want to chime in?

Well looks like the one in vintage vinyl's pics is larger and does not have a removable mask. Mine are 11 and 12 inches (removable mask). Guess there is a 15 inch jumbo.

Not to beat this to death, but yes, I have to agree. After looking closer at those ones, they definitely seem to be jumbo scale. A giveaway is the chunkier body, especially around the arms. I think I was falsely thinking that yours was also large, and the Bullmark was the more standard size. They definitely don't seem to have removeable masks though it is difficult to judge (e.g. the jumbo Mirrorman does come in unmaskeable). So the hunt continues...

Yes, there is a giant-size version. It is shown in the Nishimura "Treasure Catalog" and the Sato "Hero Book" where he says it stands 36 cm tall. These toys were all made by Bullmark, not Bandai. The sword is going to be very tough to track down. I have never seen one until I did some internet searching.

Well unless a Jumbo falls in my lap super cheap probably not Grace. Too many things on the stove/ unemployed. Thanks Mark for clarifying the sole maker/ and that there is a Jumbo. Funny I have both those books but could not figure out the sizing.

Sorry to hear about the employment situation Chris :( , I hope things improve soon. Your vintage collection is really nice to see, and so much fun to watch it grow. When you see a Jumbo come up, you'll probably go all weak in the knees and spring for it--the giant Bandais are really impressive! Good luck! :P

hey lixx, what fun is collecting unless you find out you are not really done, and there is something else you need to track down? Best part of collecting vintage IMO.
