A new update with some test shots of the Wizards & Warriors line. I really dig these, but I do think the 'He-man' is a bit overly 'He-manly.' It's hard to say though; really it all comes down to the head sculpt, and the details aren't that clear. He certainly appears more grimacing.

i believe that he-manly hero uses the remco conan head sculpt. actually, most of the parts seem to come from the remco conan series and the skeleton dudes from pirates of the galaxseas....except that skullmask character second from the right. that one looks super interesting! these look great though. love the way they look unpainted. hoping they get released this way. some of those parts gid?

Poor Spikor looks kind of uncomfortable, like he can't put his arms down by his side.

great link! the pics are amazing!
and, this is still my top grail of all toys motu:

someday...

EDIT - I noticed they forgot to put in Rotar, but they have his twin nemesis, Twistoid. Another figure i wouldn't mind getting my hands on one day, but all the ones that pop up on ebay are beat to hell, heavily top action used, yet still fetch stupid high prices!

Image
left to right:
Remco Conan Devourer of Souls
Galaxy Warriors Tiger Man (sucks he's naked, but armor and weapons for GW figs pop up all the time, so it shouldn't be too long)
Turly Gang Snaker (another variation of the over-used snake head! it'll be a I FART A LOT finding his black scimitar...)

This site opened my eyes to numerous things I now need that I didn't know previously existed.
I'm debating going back to my "only mattel us motu" completest mindset.

Post Re: Non- Vinyl American toys
I remember these toys from the 80's I would see at KB and they were like clearish blue and clearish red and maybe change colors some how? I never knew what they were from and never got one b/c I always got MOTU.
I ran across power lords but I swear the figures I remember were clear and more than one of the figures changed.

Image

I've been trying to find them but I thought a few others would enjoy these:

http://www.igorslab.com/home/2010/6/20/ ... cials.html

http://gadgets.gunaxin.com/the-30-best- ... -80s/34730

A year or two ago I started finding and downloading collections of old 80 cartoons. I have quite a few of the shows these toys were from, and a lot of the toys from back in the day. I never had the Jayce and the wheeled warriors but remember them well. I had all the C.O.P.S. and MASK stuff. Inhumaniods was always awesome. I'm not familiar with the Crystar stuff at all though.

The Jewel Lords are part of my "Toys to Get" Bucket List! They Rock it Diamond Hard!

Oh wow, the # of clear toys from the 80s... You mentioned red & blue, the TRON 80s figs were clear red & blue & purple... You said they transformed though... Unless they were just some of those awesome unknowns that only a handful remember but there's no proof online they ever existed (some of them were the friggin' best!), I'm with Silver lining man - prob. Rock Lords' Jewel Lords.

Post Re: Non- Vinyl American toys
I recall the rock lords. These were carded action figures in line with MOTU size (and I know they were NOT Tron lol) that somehow changed color. I'm wondering if I'm just incorrectly remembering the Power Lord, but I don't think I am. Argh.

Also, there is still a lot of hate currently for the Power Lords from looking around online, I really don't get it.

its probably similar to western vinyl vs. eastern vinyl.
or wwf fans vs. wcw fans.
dc vs. marvel, lego vs. mega bloks vs. kreo...
apparently if you are "hardcore" into one thing, you are supposed to hate its opposite.

i'll keep searching for some info on something like that. it doesn't ring any bells, but it sounds awesome, so i hope it does exist! so many motu-scale toylines from the 80s out there!

getting a little modern here, but this is the best skeletor rip-off in ages!

Bladekiller from the Chap Mei Beast Raider toyline. the tiger is Sabertron, from the Chap Mei Dino Power: Ninjatron toyline. You can pick up bladekiller for next to nothing, constantly resurfacing on ebay. Sabertron, on the other hand, is pretty hard to find, and the secondary market price shows it.

brilliant! thanks for posting! pre-duck hunt action! i wonder how well this works. vhs games have a way of shocking you. had a kool-aid vhs game as a kid, and it still boggles my mind how it worked (no longer have the tape, otherwise i'd test it out once again).

Ohh, Captain Power! Man that was some fun stuff. I'd love to get ahold of that tape now.

Some of those villains were pretty friggin awesome! I can just see some bootleggers getting the idea eventually. In fact, if I just inspired said idea, please send me one

A new preview shot fro Warlords and Warriors, of their Dreadgear figure. I am sure hoping after all these test shots and mockups, we can start buying some figures soon.
