Still waiting someone to post a triple battle betwen the gorrilla ju, mecha ju and tyrano ju...

I really like how the eyes and teeth look grimey. This guy looks great, and where the green one looked like a plaything, this looks like a ripped monster.

Red turned out great. I usually don't like gold eyes but it works. I still would like to see a version with an eye like this. It would change the character a lot I think

I wonder if we'll be seeing any problems with the gold paint on these..

Why? The pink Gorilla Ju has gold teeth, no problems I've ever seen. Is there a gold paint disease?

just basing it of my only encounter with gold paint which was on the gulmeyer.

I have that Gulmeyer and there were no issues, though I know others have had problems. So from experience I can't really say what was up. I'd guess he used different paint or it has something to do with the vinyl Star Case isn't really a toy maker, at least on the level of HxS. Star Case was just a shop, not sure who he goes through to get them made. Maybe it was the texture of the vinyl, or paint used or the way it was packaged or handled after or applied?

But Hirota has been doing this a while (even before the Gorilla) and seems to know what he's doing more. So I wouldn't worry.

I never have issues with spraying gold, I wonder what went wrong.
Edit: I'm guessing it was either the type of paint used, or grease deposits from the mold that never got wiped off. One person having trouble with a figure, doesn't mean that you'll see the same issues with a different maker, on a different toy. I know western toys have always had issues with gold paint, but again, that's a different type of vinyl, and most likely cheap paint.

Yeah it was less than 300, with shipping included. Who cares about the aftermarket.

That set was 21,000 yen + extra S&H if international. This one will probably be slightly more since it's Tyranno-Ju and he's alittle more expensive than the Gorilla's.
