Here are some more awesome preview shots of gashapon guys. Looks like he might be working towards doing all the Ultra kaiju in some treatment (could I be any happier? ) I am still really hoping somehow for some blue/pink sets, as I am not too keen on doubling up on yellow [and of course still have my fingers crossed for white].



Somehow it looks like this Kemur has the 'ape' torso (I am sure it doesn't), which I am finding hilarious



I know that every green wax proto so far has blown my mind, but I really love this Todola sculpt.

I love Buta and while these minis are super cool the price tag is insane. I cant justify buying these at all.

What was the last non-gashapon Buta release?

The two red Garamons, Blue Nakira, and the red 'Popy' Goji. Wasn't all that long ago actually.

Oh yeah, I knew that. Duh.

Yeah, I guess it was a bit anticlimatic after being basically a repeat of the last release. For my mind, outside of the micros, it seems to be averaging about one release of 4-5 figures per year now, which is still not bad, but I would love to see some variety again. So many kaiju still waiting for a sweet Buta treatment. [Not that this isn't totally understandable with all the work going in to the mulititude of minis]

So glad I'm not into all these micro Butanohana. I'm actually enjoying time off from the mad rush of finding the regular minis upon release.

Same here. I'd like to get a little Garamon, but other than that I'm all set.

I'm really confused as to what is actually in each set, I really would rather not get any more yellow or orange, and there looks to be quite a few of the initial yellow/orange micros in those shots, can anyone who scored these confirm if there are doubles? or even better post some pictures of what's in each set.

No doubles, just six more total that are yellow or orange!

I don't know that sets have been sent out yet, but from the preview shots on the ordering page it looks like set#5 is all orange and yellow; the other three are a mix of green, blue and pink. If you skip set #5 you'll miss six sculpts but avoid more yella...

So, if yr only counting the Return of Ultraman sets (1-4 last year, 5-7 this year) it breaks down to 15 yellow, 15 orange, 6 green, four pink and 2 blue. The 'bleh' is still winning.

If you roll in the new Q set we wind up with 8 green, 6 pink and 4 blue;
add the first Q set and the total is 8 green, 10 pink and 4 blue;
factor in both editions of the storybook micros? 8 green, 18 pink and 12 blue. Whew.
