It's good to see the love for this version of my favorite husky mech. I just picked one up a couple of weeks back and he is totally sweet. The little missile truck extra is nice touch. I guess I should put up a pic...

I'm crazy about that figure of The Controller of Planet X, too - never saw that one before.

Incidentally, and also a Marmit, this particular ST "kit" they put out is fucking killer:
http://omni-monster.blogspot.com/2009/0 ... armit.html

I picked this up some time ago (from a boardie? damn, I can't remember), and I couldn't be happier. If you're a fan of Mogera, you need this toy! My only beef with it is that, again, it's a "kit". Those fucking antennae are a tiny little plastic+wire rig which is flimsy as hell...and as you can see, there's no jaw *at all*. Well, that's because it comes with this SUPER-crappy vacu-formed clear plastic jaw bit that you have to trim and somehow attach to the toy.

Fortunately, I work with CAD, so I just designed a proper jaw and antennae to go with my figure...and they look a million times better than the stock parts!

Oh, god...I saw that one a while back. Someone showed it to me when I was crying about the Revoltech Mogera - I said that even though ugh, Revoltech, it was still the best looking Mogera there was, including the original suit, and they showed me that one. Someday...

"IF" you're a fan of Mogera? One of my life's moments of purest joy was finally seeing the Japanese version of The Mysterians: When the second Mogera got a markalite dropped on his head, I laughed until I wept. Sometimes I pop in the DVD just to watch that....

I'm saying, yo...I *so* wanted the Revoltechs to be GOOD once they started dropping showa kaiju. I'm a crazy Daimajin fan (can ya tell from the avatar??)...but when I got that Revoltech, it just seemed so...empty. Like there was no joy whatsoever in the toy. I've sworn off Revoltechs ever since...as painful as it was to watch stuff go by as great looking as Mogera, Gigan, etc...

But yeah, for real, try to get the ST Marmit. I'm not normally a fan of "movie accurate" sculpts--I tend to prefer the goofiness of Bullmark or modern Bullmark-esque sculpts--but this particular Mogera blows the doors off the motherfucking hinges. Once I get those CAD-modeled parts printed and assembled onto the figure, I'll post pics (don't hold your breath--I've got a pretty big toy project backlog!). But if you DO finally score this particular figure (or should I say WHEN?), PM me and I'll e-mail you the CAD models so you can print 'em out!

Haha...word is bond, man! That's one of the hottest Toho flicks EVAR. Hammered, zooted, or straight sober, you just can't go wrong with that movie! Totally underrated...and one of the few dvds of mine I'm actually afraid I'ma wear out! ;)

Many thanks! He'll be a somewhere down the road for me, I'm sure.

I DID wear out my VHS back in the day...but then that's not saying much. It's a lot like Gojira in the way that some of the sfx are KILLER, and some (like the amazing see-thru tank #255) are so, SO bad. My fave is, of course, Matango - a search for Matango memorabilia is what drew me in to the twisted, depraved world of vinyl.

Marmit's Matango is one of the few Marmits I don't love too much, though - head looks like a cupcake. :D

I will have to get the Vinyl Paradise Mogera at some point...

Thanks for hooking it up Phil.

If any members out there have more info on Arch Demon releases please let me know. I know there was the recent kit sold through grumble with an unassembled option and an assembled and painted by Marmit option, but that was too rich for me. I know Marmit has released other kits of the figure in the past, but can only find info of the most recent on their site, and no idea what the base vinyl colors have been released in the past, or if there have been non-kit releases.

But this red is just about perfect for this figure, and I'd like to find more info on it and know what else is out there.

Didn't Marmit also take a pass at the American Godzilla?

They did - they released a pair of USA Godzilla Parababys packaged together.
They never sell very well :)

One sold on ebay last week...and they're BABY ameri-goji parababys I think.
If anyone here bought those and ever wants to let them go I'll buy them.
I also want the Vinyl Paradise Ameri-Goji.
Yep, you read that right, I WANT it. I like it.
