 Toothache, earache, headache, Jaw-Ache!
So I've got this massive headache, it feels like its traveling from my ear down through to my jaw and even a bit into my throat and lately my eye has been twitching... I couldn't sleep last night and called out of work this morning. But now I have to do something about it, and I don't know if I should see my doctor or my dentist. Looking on the web doesn't seem to help, there's equal hit on it being a sinus infection (doctor) or a problem stemming from an infected tooth/cavity(dentist). I just moved, so who knows what sort of dust/mold/spores I might have kicked up in the transit. I'm sure I've got an infection of some sort, but I think it's pretty much a 50/50 split on what it could be. I just wanted to vent. I probably end up seeing the wrong one first, and paying two co-pays.

Sounds to me like a massive sinus/ and or ear infection. Did your ear pop at all while on the plane from Japan back to the states?

I agree on the sinus infection, sounds exactly like what I get about once a year. Never a toothache, but it hits the jaw like a bugger, usually by then I need some serious antibiotics to knock it out. Best of luck to you! (Eye twitch is usually stress with me)

I'm betting on sinus infection as well. I was dealing with the same thing not too long ago. Plus, I don't know if you have seasonal allergies at all, but out here allergy sufferers have been hit really hard this spring. Even people that haven't had any allergy symptoms before are feeling them this year. Go get some of the pseudoephedrine Sudafed. Load up. Don't try to buy two boxes, unless you want them to think you're making bathtub meth.

You should check your temperature if you haven't yet. Fever is a quick way to determine if you have an infection or not.

Huh. The doctor thinks it's stress Something akin to grinding my teeth, something like tmj or something. I'm to take it easy this weekend. Hopefully it will resolve itself. thanks for all the insights- I thought for sure it was sinuses too. I guess I just have to take it easy.

I have never had a fever in my life, but I have had many infections (not that I'm proud of this). Just saying... Phil, I hope the doctor looked you over and just didn't diagnose you from your symptoms! Calm down and feel better

 Re: Toothache, earache, headache, Jaw-Ache!
Teeth grinding can definitely cause all of these symptoms HP. It can be akin to your jaw cracking and a day later it feels like someone punched you in a the face (though that's never happened to me ) and everything just aches. Stress brings on major teeth grinding for me both awake and asleep and these same symptoms were my own about a few months back. Instead of it lasting a couple days like the jaw cracking, it literally lasted weeks and I was thinking maybe I stepped on a nail and was developing lock-jaw or something crazy It eventually went away on its own as I have no idea on what I did to relieve my stress level other than push forward and just move on. Hope you feel better. I sympathize.
