 CCP Garamon
Been waiting a long time for CCP to tackle Garamon... looking good! http://blog.livedoor.jp/ccp/archives/51894053.htmlI like the funny knock-kneed stance they went with!

 Re: CCP Garamon
“i gotta pee!” i normally don't like too-accurate sculpts, but this one is so incredibly identical, i have to give it a thumbs up. if it also had some sort of wind-up hopping and flapping action, it'd be perfect.

 Re: CCP Garamon
I am not really into the realistic guys so much, but they did a phenomenal job capturing him. not sure about that price point though. This has better be one impressive figure.

 Re: CCP Garamon
The only "realistic" toy that I own right now is an articulated RAH Dada. I quite like it and would consider ponying up for a similar rubber-suit style Garamon, but I think I'll be skipping this new and well executed CCP offering. I just don't think I need a lifelike Gary on the counter top around to scare me whenever I need a drink of water in the middle of the night.
Now, if they were offering a life SIZE Pigmon, well, then I'd be looking into a mortgage, lickity split!

 Re: CCP Garamon
Man, I'm not into realistic figures either...but if it came with that dam diorama, that'd be killer!

 Re: CCP Garamon
It does- and I think that heart-stopping price point is dam-inclusive, though Mr. CCP seems to say in his blog post that the figure can be ordered sans dam (and with optional Van Damme omake), but it’s not clear what the price difference would be.
I love that this is in the world- I can’t believe it took CCP so long to do Garamon- but for the money, for a realistically-rendered Gary, I’m gonna pass and continue saving up the big bux to score a copy of Atragon G-K’s un-fuggin’-beatable 12” resin kit (which I sadly missed the pre-order for).

 Re: CCP Garamon
The Atragon kit is absolutely beautiful, but I might as well have paws when it comes to assembling something, and don't even get me started on painting. A lot of missed joy on sweet model kits still leave an emptiness from my youth.

 Re: CCP Garamon
Shit...that kit IS pretty bomb, huh? Heh...you had me confused though--thinking it was a kit of Atragon! I'm a sucker for that ship...just as you are for Gary!

 Re: CCP Garamon
I saw this prototype in person when I was at the CCP factory last fall: http://to.ly/eGYoThe detail and design work are amazing. The dude that sculpted it is a hardcore Garamon fan/collector. Sans Dam 18,000円 http://item.rakuten.co.jp/ccp-t/garamon/W/Dam 19,800円 http://item.rakuten.co.jp/ccp-t/garamondam/CCP's Rakuten store is the easiest way to order stuff from them IMO. You can order and pay directly with a credit card yourself, and then have the items sent to a forwarding address service like TENSO. This saves a lot of fees compared to third party shopping services. No direct overseas shipping though…

 Re: CCP Garamon
Thanks for the great info, NN! I really would like to know the name of the sculptor... will have to go back and dio through the site & blog a bit to try to find... It's a good time if you're a fan of realistic Gara-sculpts... Billiken Shokai has an amazing-looking model kit due to hit soon, too.

No direct overseas shipping though… Actually, you can order directly from the CCP website. They even accept paypal.

Can you provide a link to where on the CCP site they say they accept PayPal? I am not seeing anything about PayPal on their site, or PayPal as an option during the checkout process. I also just pinged Obo-san from CCP on Twitter, and he said they do not accept PayPal and still will not ship items overseas... Any further insight is appreciated!
