What painting was this? Sam was the go-between for a painting I commissioned from SEEN that never turned up, despite him saying Rich had sent it blah blah - there was no proof of postage and I couldn't get hold of SEEN direct to work out WTF had happened.

So yeah i'm out about $1k from 4 years back

From what I've read here and over at that 'other' forum, his scams include use of the USPS, which indeed does fall under the 'federal offense' category.

I wonder if his ex gf, gf,]whatever her busted ass title is, has figured out she's an accessory to a federal offense yet?

I doubt that SEEN ever heard about that commission, or received a dime of that money.

According to SEEN, this guy had access to his studio, and took a bunch of paintings and has been selling and trading them ever since. I confronted busizem with this, and got a sob story about how SEEN was an alcoholic & mean, and broke some of busizem's stuff, (??) so somehow that justified stealing art. He then said it was cool, because he had a certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist!!!!

Now mind you, this idiot just admitted to one artist that he stole art from another artist, and is still thinks he can close the deal!! Not just completely shameless, but stupid.

I think the guy has a screw loose, because this isn't even profitable scamming, it seems more like obsessive-compulsive behavior.

Someone just PM'ed me the info that this guy is an ex-junkie. That explains all this - classic addictive behavior. What a sad piece of shit.

Touche. Toys just happen to be his avenue of greed. And it sounds like he tried to heist a hell of a lot more than the average cat burglar does too... I'm positive that he's crossed some federal lines here, but it's the personal stuff that he's pulled with so many of us that really sucks. Anything that comes his way is of his own doing. Whether I agree with what happens to him or not, he opened this door & whatever faces him on the other side he's brought upon himself.
