A couple of recent acquisitions cleaned up with toothbush and dish washing liquid! Still love the vintage "played with" look of them post-cleaning. :)

I love how there's so much detail going on for the heads on such a small figure:

^^ I agree! Sometimes vintage toys benefit from being played with. It gives it that true vintage character. Ha, although sometimes I wish that it were played with in certain spots on the figure over others ;)

Hmmmm, just wondering, are there any toy makers out there that purposely "weather" their figures for that look? I'm usually not a fan of the faux, just curious if there's any out there that purposely make their pieces look worn or played-with? I'm not aware of any.

I dont know whats better, the pendant or the backing card. Im on the hunt now. You should totally put it in a shadow box, would look great.

Waiting a vintage mat (sans posts) to arrive, but I took some photos of these two guys that are anxious to step in the ring.

I don't doubt that Medicom will do him too, with the way they are going with their repros. There was a Marusan version, in robes though instead of his classic suit.

Post Re: Tiger Mask
Has anyone pre-ordered the Skull Star repro figure from Medicom? (or any of the Tigermask repros?) I was just wondering how long does it take for Medicom to request payment after the pre-order has been placed? (I pre-ordered it from them one month ago). It's the first time I have dealt with Medicom directly so I am unsure if pre-ordering actually guarantees the order will be filled. If anyone can enlighten me on this, thank you!

Yeah usually the invoice never seems to get sent, just a reminder when it gets close to when payment should be made. Best advice is to follow the payment instructions on the page to paypal address listed (amount + shipping), and just follow it up with a email to medicom directly asking them if they received payment alright.

Post Re: Tiger Mask
Another place you might want to check out, Spacemonkey, is Nakama Toys. I'm not sure which of the TM Repro figs they have available, or even if the prices are reasonable, BUT I did see that they carry some in their new store (online). I remember specifically seeing Lion Mask, Golden Mask, & Tiger Mask in their blog, but again, there could be more. Wouldn't hurt to check anyway.

Oh, I also recently received an email that Angel Abby JUST became Medicom "certified", so it also wouldn't hurt to ask them about TM repros you're interested in but that Medicom's not offering "overseas shipping" to the public for (not quite sure how that works).

In fact, let us know what you find out. Seems like it would be helpful info for others' interested as well. Good Luck! :)
