Really, what a great find, one of, if not the best thing I have seen on SB this year. I love how he is mostly ape with metal suit (i.e. space astronaute instead of mechanized simian). Great barrel-chest, you are right very T-28, and killer clunky feet. And the box art is just as phenomenal. Just wow.

Re: Outer space ape man it could be just a trick of the light, but for me the best part is the subtle rib cage sculpting at the edges of his chest. it's really a brilliant repurposing of t-28.
was this originally released to ride the coat tails of the planet of the apes?

Re: Outer space ape man Not sure sure if this came out at the same time as the planet of the apes, but i can tell you its a bootleg. Pretty sure it was my friend Josh Fraser who pointed out a tin version that was produced first. I might even have a picture some where.
