and now for something completely different
ridiculous boxes from 1969. Is it just me, or do these have a yellow submarine type vibe.

Those are fantastic!! ... are they full sized or just sort of table top size? I don't recall ever seeing anything like those before.

Not sure who the target audience was for this, but it sure is strange. The ridiculous boxes are about five inches tall and were probably someones weed container back in the day.

"Mom and Dad will never look in here" Heh. Also, love those drawer faces. Wouldn't be great (for a while) to have a place where all the furniture was like that?

You have such eclectic taste in toys! This is so creepy and yet so interesting at the same time. Love it.

Re: and now for something completely different
^ It's the " For Children Petting & Decorating Fun" remark that creeps me out even more than the doll does lol.. That is one strange very interesting doll toy decorating thingy. And those Blue Meanies -looking boxes are pretty sweet! Definitely up on the weird-o meter. Very cool though. I like a lot of the odd looking toy/stuffs from back in the day. Makes me wonder what people were on while designing some of these strange toys that are out there. (Same goes for the many strange cartoon/anime shows that they are coming out with)

Re: and now for something completely different
I absolutely love those old boxes, though to me they have a much creepier vibe to them then 'Submarine, more Clockwork Orange. The faces themselves though actually remind me of much older designs (art deco and earlier).

Re: and now for something completely different
Shouldn't that be 'Hi-ho Silver Bat'? very cool find. Love the way his stirrups come right out of the horse. So, judging from the way the front legs are articulated, does the horse rear up (is that the battery action)?

Re: and now for something completely different
A Gif? im old and cannot do these things! Besides, i did put batteries in it and the front legs just move it forward. This electric chair also takes a battery, and probably most of these didnt survive, because you will drop it if you pick it up.

That's for sure! 'Weird' and unique indeed. Those file cabinets with the faces are quite the trip.
