 The Outer Space Men
Hello again everyone Gary Schaeffer here. I was asked to create a new thread based upon my Outer Space Men. I will be very happy to answer any and all of your questions that you may have about the OSM. There are amazing things happening and God willing you will not believe some of the news on the horizon. For now I would like to know you all and know of your OSM collections. Japanese or other I am always interested in what is out there. Mark has a catalog that I am dreaming of owning one day containing 4 of the 6 images of the Bullmark OSM. Please let me know where I can look for such an important piece of OSM history for my collection.

Wow I never really noticed how I have to re-shoot some of those photos. They are terrible. Please let me see what else is out there when you all have a moment. Thanks, Gary.

 Re: The Outer Space Men
Thanks for posting these Gary. Even with the quality of those photos, my mind is pretty welll blown. I am envious of every one of those figures, and can really appreciate the dedication I am sure it has taken to track down a collection like yours. I don't have any of my own to contribute, but I can put up the one full collection shot I have seen on Eric Hayes' flickr here

 Re: The Outer Space Men
I have that image in my gallery on the OSM site. I can't remember where I got it however. I am pretty sure though that it was not from an owner named Eric. This owner has one of the 6 sets of second series OSM that came into the US from Hong Kong in 1968. I know of the whereabouts of all but 3 of the 36 figures that came into the country. I mean; I could be wrong but I just don't remember the owner of this second set of figures being known as Eric?

 Re: The Outer Space Men
For the most part, you can find these under Bullmark on yahoo japan. Most of these are do able if you have patience and dont get caught up in the hype of an auction thats going nuts. The Nautilus is the one thats a pain in the ass. I have been after that one for quite some time. 2 i have seen on ebay, but those got yanked when the seller got offers he couldnt refuse. On yahoo, i have seen 3, and prices have been rapidly rising. The prices were approx $250, 450 and the last one $1200.

 Re: The Outer Space Men
I have been over to those Japan auctions. I have even bid on some stuff. You have to have your money over there prior to bidding and then there are a ton of fees and you have to really pay attention to all of what is going on over there. And good luck if you need to return anything.

Hi everyone. Check out this link; http://fig-x.jp/TOSM/index.html This store in Japan is carrying my new OSM figures and is showing the 14th OSM after 45 years Terra Firma from planet Earth. She will be making her appearance next year.

Ha! I know this "Tiger7" dude can be a real dick sometimes, but i do know that he not only responded to your e mails, he also sent you a link to "Bullmark" on yahoo japan along with a link to a OSM auction at the time. Pretty sure he also gave you a couple of names that could help you get hooked up getting started on yahoo.

 Re: The Outer Space Men
Then it is definitely not him. I remember someone being of invaluable help with my education of auctions in Japan. At the same time someone who had Bullmark OSM as well as a carded Inferno from the second unproduced series who I contacted as well when I saw his images on a Japanese website was quite aggressive and rude. Sorry for the mistake no offense intended. Best regards, Gary.

Outer_Space_Men LLC wrote: Please tell me what you all think of the new Terra Firma OSM. The first new addition in 45 years finally representing Earth. This is a great sculpt, the tits make it very HEAVY METAL cover-esque. The whole line is very well thought out and is reflected in sales and fanbase. However I havent bought an action figure for years so it's not my scene. The vintage ones are boss but also not my scene. I'm impressed with the helmeted ones with the sculpting and moulding. I'd like to hold one and have a look at it because I'm really interested with how sofubi is made these days and those are fascinating. Are the helmets and head all one part, if so that would have been fucking hard to pour the vinyl!

 Re: The Outer Space Men
I like Terra Firma. My only question would be why if she is representing earth she has a US flag on her suit.

 Re: The Outer Space Men
Since the premise of the OSM is that each of the seven first series characters represents the best of the best that their planet has to offer; it is the USA that won out with their chosen representative against all of the other countries that put their candidates into the running.
