Aw damn, I should have put "SPOILER ALERT" because I read in some article it was her. Who knows how they bring her back? Besides, who/what could be more interesting as a companion then someone who's been a Dalek!?

the actress that played soufflé-girl IS the new companion, but if she'll be the same character (oswin oswalt), i'm not sure. i got bored on sunday, so i tried to start up a little mini-marathon, and noticed her over-the-top coy look into the camera just before the asylum was blown up as she says "remember me..." we've already discussed crazy plot holes, so there's no reason why she couldn't theoretically be the same character. (and i rather liked oswin. she was feisty. =p)

Re: For Doctor Who fans
I don't really see how she couldn't be the same character, though obviously in her pre-crashed/Dalek form. But then that means they are going to have to throw in some kind of earlier backstory for her, which means she won't have any recollection of the Doctor, which of course then implies that when the re-meet on the asylum world she has already had all of here adventures...agh, time travel, sure does make the head ache.
She was definitely feisty, but I could see that conflicting with the zaniness of the eleventh Doctor if they kept that up permanently. For my part, I really liked her in that episode, and yes, obviously I can see the appeal of Ms. Coleman, but I think they should've left it at that.
And, for what it's worth, if she doesn't come back as the same character, then I think my head will hurt on it even more.
This video definitely warrants sharing. 'When life throws some stairs in your way, relax and smoke up with a pack of Hamlets. You just might feel the need to exterminate is satisfied.'

That was fantastic. I could watch her get sprayed with fruit juices all day. Seriously though I hope her American film career works out. She seems fun. you ever see the Doctor Whoo cast bowl against Will Wheaton and his friends? Good stuff.

...we'll get the remaining eight episodes of season seven this spring, starting March 30, and then... nothing, except for the 60-minute anniversary special in November. There's not even a mention of a Christmas special. And then, presumably, season eight starts sometime in 2014.

well they are hollow. The front panel clicks off but I don't think sweets are meant to go into them as there is a a small bar of plastic on the inside. My wife reminds me that it was an official bbc magazine that I got them with probably in the summer. Love the retro feel of them!

Tonight's the night, children! UK folk and pirates may well have already had the pleasure.
Just read that David Tennant & Billie Piper will be in a episode of Doctor Who this season to help celebrate 50 years.... I also heard awhile ago that Sylvester McCoy might be in a episode....but now probably not... But we have had The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors, The Two Doctors & the Tennant / Davison special. So hopefully, the Smith / Tennant episode will be worth the wait....

Of course I loved it. It reminded me of RTD episodes actually. And so did the preview for the next episode. It's been a while since the Doc has run into some weird space race that wasn't created by Davies.
I don't have any hard love for 1 show runner vs. the other, though I've heard some hate Moffat (?) but it's fun to see how they change. And honestly, though I loved Pond, it's nice to get a fresh companion. It'll be tough to ever beat Donna though (for the more recent companions.)
Great episode, I really dig Oswin as a character, and am excited to unravel the mystery that she is And the lady from the computer hacking place reminded me of M from James Bond.

Re: For Doctor Who fans
I like these, simple, fun, and classic animation. And hey, for something is totally free, the Puppet Doctor far surpasses normal licensed production stuff. Guess I also have a soft spot for them because they remind me of the stuff I used to watch in my youth (those many centuries ago).
I've been watching some of the classic episodes recently, and after watching the new one, it struck me that Matt Smith and David Tennant really use the Sonic Screwdriver as a magic wand. In the older episodes, it was just a screwdriver. Maybe sometimes is could screw with somebodies head, but now it seems it can do anything. I wish the show writers would let him rely on his wits more and less on magic.
