Upcoming release for Design Fest.

As much as I like the colouring on this DF one part of me is starting to see why you guys hate flocking so much. The more I think about it the more questions I have such as: "Oh my god, what if it gets wet for some reason!?" or "Does paint on a flocked object fade faster than on straight vinyl". Also, the whole confirming my fear that it has a similar feel // build to spray moss doesn't exactly thrill me.

Wait and see I guess. Maybe another non-flocked one will come out soon. Please?

Halloween flocked negora came and went last night!

That mold is made of platinum, it is a blameless, holy creature.

Some recent updates made to the 1st page database.

21st release. Halloween Kaiju Negora with candy colored Big Fish. This is the very first flock release for sale. Max Toy Company club members were offer first shot to purchase this release for price of $50 with free shipping in the USA or $5 for international shipping on October 21, 2012. Club members were limited to ordering a max of 2 pieces. Then on October 24, 2012 a small amount was offer for open sale on Max Toy Company online webstore for $50 + S&H (U.S. or International). Open sales were limited to only 1 order per customer. Shipping of these items started on October 26, 2012 per Mark Nagata on Max Brain blog.


The above candy corn colored Big Fish was made available first. The Halloween Kaiju Negora was sold again as the 23rd release at Design Festa 36 but with a different Big Fish color.



22nd release. One-Up Akiba Culture Zone store 1 year anniversary exclusive. In store sales with raffle tickets given out for lottery. Then on the same day at 9 pm online shop sales (sold out in a few minutes). Price 3,200 yen. Released October 28, 2012.




23rd releases. Design Festa 36 exclusives. Price 3,700 yen each. Released November 10, 2012.

*This Design Festa 36 exclusive was labeled as Negora Otosan (Dad) on Max Toy Company Japan blog. Limited to 40 pieces. Only 20 was made available at the show and the other 20 as mail order directly from MTC Japan after the show. Per Yo Miyamoto of MTC Japan this was actually the first flocked to be produced but not for sale until Design Festa (the Halloween version from Max Toy Company USA in October was the first sales).


*This Halloween Kaiju Negora Design Festa 36 exclusive was originally released by Max Toy Company USA as the 21st release in October 2012. But this release has a new colored Big Fish labeled as Big Fish Hone Hone (skeleton/bone) color pattern (The original Halloween Big Fish release was candy corn colored pattern). Limited to 20. Only 10 was made available at the show and the other 10 as mail order directly from MTC Japan after the show.




17th Micro release. Design Festa 36 held from November 10 & 11, 2012. This is the first flocked MICRO version. Limited edition of 60. Only 30 was made available for the show and 30 for store sales after the show. Price 1,800 yen. Released November 10, 2012.

Love how many halloween themed toys from different producers were released this October. So many good ones.

Lots. Id hate to be a completist with the Negoras.. so many one offs and exclusives..

nah, I'm not a completist. but there are variants that I wasn't aware of and is interesting. I passed on the flocked halloween negora cuz I don't really like the feel of it, but there are other flocked negora that I'm interested now

Design Fiesta 36 exclusive Negora Otosan (Dad) is definitely in my want list, sadly it's available only in Japan

Yep, she did a clear red and a clear blue for sale at Design Fest 36 earlier this month.

She had the prototype of the Shiba Inu Negora-esque character that she has coming out this winter there too.

The new max toy monster boogie negora minis have sold out. So are the custom clear paint micro negoras... I wanted one so bad but i thinkclub members nabbed em all

I think seven went up on the site? It wasn't many. Don't blame me on that one. Do blame me for the fast Monster Boogie sellout, I had to get a set.

Ten of those custom clear paint micro negoras went up on the Max Toy Co site and they sold out really fast.
