Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
On the homepage it says Because the number of applicants exceeds the 150 pictures I was allowed to draw and I do not apologize. Google translate might be a little bit wobbly but I guess it means it will be a lottery again. He also says that he will mail the international folks tomorrow. I think I saw someone on Instagram posting that they won. They were from Japan though. So keeping fingers crossed. I would also have liked it to be a pre-order so that everyone that wanted the poster would have gotten one.

I missed it altogether and now join the ranks of people who hope it isn't the key to a future release.

It is a fantastic poster! The artwork and layout on this is superb!
I feel 150 is still not enough for this poster and it will end up being a lottery. Fingers crossed.

I can also confirm that e-mails for international orders are going out...
As awesome as these toys are, I was even more impressed by this poster. Can't wait to get it framed once it arrives!

Got an Email!!! It sounds a little crazy but i was more excited about this poster than the last lottery. Can't wait to have this one framed up and on the wall.
Also thinking it will be the MG2 pictured in the poster for the next release.

Got the email and paid. Just hope I can get selected for a toy now. I learned the hard way after I did not apply to the last poster release simply because I tend not to collect posters. Good luck everyone.

The 2 releases after the first poster were only offered to those who bought it. After that they were all public again. He stated in the winning emails of this poster there would be a special toy offer as well.

Basically, if you don't collect posters than you are screwed out of the toy as well - so it is a extra cash grab and yet another incentive to flip something from HS. I love the poster, but so many people will have entered just to win the toy as the primary goal. What is this really all about, you can't tell me this is in any way discouraging or limiting after-market reselling, in fact the opposite.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Yeah, I feel like there's gotta be a good number of people who bought the poster (regardless of whether they liked it or not) just hoping for the chance to win a toy. Which sucks for people that legitimately wanted to win the poster and didn't get chosen.

Email him and tell him instead of going on about it here. I mean, I'm all for saying what you want and I'm not chastising you guys but his emails public. Pass the complaint to the source.
I like the posters and toys, so I have 0 problems with this situation. If someone IS just buying it for a toy offer, and you JUST want the poster, maybe that winner will sell you the poster for cost?

Right, but everyone wants to tell him what to do behind his back and speculate he's getting some crazy cash from these posters as some sort of scheme.
They're just toys/posters, the guy's been doing this forever, he offers both regular public lotto's as well as these poster deals and there could be way worse ways of him doing anything.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
I'm just happy we even have a chance at getting these things now. When the first Gorilla's were sold at Cosmo Knight Alpha most of us didn't even have a chance at getting one. Now you just have to watch the site and send a email...Pretty simple.
I also like collecting prints so this is a win/win situation for me. The art is fantastic and would like to see more companies do releases of this quality of work.

And honestly it is done with good intentions. He figures that the people who are buying the prints are die hard fans and would make a good pool of people to select from for a toy release. He only did it for one toy release after the print not two.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
Hey guys, sorry, didn't mean to start anything, this is an internet forum right? (lol) Let's not turn this into another Nag thread No one is spouting vitriol against HS, we're all reading this because we dig what he does. Isn't that the majority of what SB is for? And this is hardly behind his back, it's just an opinion and out there for anyone who cares - though I am not so arrogant as some to think HS wants to hear from me on how to run his business. Anyways, I've made my peace with it, and it is nothing personal against HS or anyone (except flippers, then it IS ). Congrats to all the winners, and I will just keep on entering the lottos and hope for the best.

You are correct BloodDrinker6969. The set was only offered to those that submitted for the poster. It was never made public on his blog. I have 5 official photos from HS of the set release on the database. 2 of the photos were made public on HS blog. The other 3 were private and only sent privately in a email to those that were offer to purchase the set, thanks to a winning sb board member for sharing them.

Re: Hirota Saigansho: Gorilla-ju, Mecha Gorilla-ju, & Tyrann
IMO i think its honestly so very nice to know that HS seems to care about making his produce as good as it can get. No one knew about any offers prior to the confirmation emails so i don't think as many will be flipped but who knows.
anyway this is his produce you either seek or do not seek, speculation is a mute point. actually i do agree with trying to contact any artist anyone admires but if you come off as crass expect nothing in return. how would you react to rude comments?
