Agreed. This election was OVER a few months ago. It was never going to be close.

Yay! I'm glad there are more people getting on board with that. I actually voted green myself, but that is because I knew that Obama would get Illinois' vote. If it were too close to call, I would have voted Obama, but since this is Illinois, I voted for the Green party to get them some recognition.

My favorite bit in the news this morning was that Ryan was running a reelection campaign for his House seat at the same time he was running as VP. This was news to me. Maybe this is actually common, but it seems like usually a VP candidate is only running for VP and not running a parallel campaign as a back-up. I guess Ryan really is the smart one in the GOP! Romney's screwed. All he gets to do is go back to being stupid rich. Lame.

From what I remember hearing he HAD to. It was something like that, like he actually had to run for both due to the laws in his state. I can't remember 100% now. I don't care enough to even lazilly GOOGLE it.

You know what really bugged me? When the media referenced Romney. How they kept referring to him as Governor Romney. Jackass hasn't held an elected office since 2007. Guess he can go back to flipping companies.

The US has only one president at a time, but Bill Clinton and George W Bush are always referred to as President Clinton and President Bush - even in the same sentence as Obama.

And during the Republican primary campaign, Newt Gingrich was routinely referred to as Mr Speaker - even though he was the Speaker of the House for four years and left that post nearly 14 years ago.

Obama is not perfect, but I'd vote for him over a guy who represents a party that spent quite a bit of time and effort to make helping the citizens of the country out harder than it needed to be. "obama hasn't done shit"...the GOP played a big part in trying to make that a true statement...so to me, these guys care more about taking power than helping a guy to help out the country as he was elected to do (and that they "love" so much more than Obama and his supporters). they'd rather watch our country burn to the ground, than to help the president help as many as possible.

Romney's jobs plan is just taking credit for what was already expected to take place with Obama's initiative.
Obama's job plan is said to not create lasting jobs while using gov't spending to make it possible. so we get stuck with the bill when the party's over. but infrastructure could help boost the economy in other ways. also investing in education and research means that our children will have new ideas and be able to compete and collaborate in tomorrow's world.

I don't know. I'm just glad it's over.

Agreed at the fact that Obama is not perfect. I am relieved that he did win though, I would of been pist if Romney had won. He wanted to put Big Bird out of a job!...

Sorry but things like this continue to show the problem with our polarized electorate.
Its petty and it does nothing to promote either side.
No matter which side you support I think we need to pull back from the knee jerk memes and stereotypes. But since that won't happen the loons of both sides will control and live.

All the political PR is really so fucking bizarre. It gets as silly and irrelevant and dumb as a snickers or skittles ad. Am I choosing a president or a sugary snack?
