Why not just make a dead horse sculpt instead. Hahaha...

Sooo did you not just produce bootleg Galtan pendants? A character who like the Kougai, Was a toy based on a painting. Which is a direct bootleg of a Baltan? So unless you are yourself producing a dead horse necklace your point is moot.

If you consider making 3 metal pendants (1 for me, 1 for a friend, & 1 for a boardie) producing, than yes I did produce a bootleg pendant :P

And it was based off a trading card that was produced in the 70s. He is a combination of Antlar & Baltan; with a skull head.

Dead Horse necklaces will be available on the site in the spring.

Uh..You clearly missed the part where Kevin acknowledged the painting/trading card. It's well known. The point is is that you did rip off the design.

It tend to happens a lot in the toy world.

Anyway...awesome score Scott. The orange vinyl is great.

What about the other two for sale here?..

http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=44250&hilit=+galtan

So...One for you...One for a friend...& one for a boardie...Plus two for sale...Is three metal pendants.

The silver is mine, the gold was sold to a boardie. I have since made 1 more for a friend. I have a mold of the pendant so I can make another if anyone else was to want one. These were poured & finished by hand in NYC.

And the irony of this discussion is that I posted a pic of the original vintage gorilla toy about a month or so ago & asked about its origin or connection to the newer Ju..But no one responded or said anything..,.

Ya...What's your point here?..It was a direct knock off..I wasn't trying to "remake" it...

The old Gorilla was posted in this thread on page 2 and had long been discussed...

So stoked on scoring the orange Alien, and the big guy he came with.

It's so cool HxS includes what appears to be painted up test pulls as Omakes.
One of the missiles I have is a green tinted GID vinyl very similar to the color gid Killers gargamel did.

I love everything about these toys, and not just because of hype. I remember when I bought the first Gorilla at CKA and everyone slammed it, save for the native omake. Even the Tokyo collectors weren't too sure about the toys at first. Me, Maxaltoman and NNN each bought one of the first five released and there were still the other 2 sitting there on the shelf when we passed by the store a couple hours later after eating our BBQ lunch.

I remember not being hot on the first release. Then with the second it clicked and by the third I was hooked. Again, awesome score Scott.

The orange alien posted on the previous page is awesome! The texture on the arms and legs actually kind of makes it look like an orange, too.

The variety in the omakes is very fun to see. I hope some other SB members got lucky in this lottery so that we can see more of them. Here's a quick cell phone shot of the alien I received, along with the flyers packaged in with the figures (left flyer came with the green MG, right flyer with the MG2).

I didn't think it was possible to win twice on the poster lotteries? But if that is actually happening I feel real sorry for those who get a poster and don't win at all..

Thanks, that warms my heart a little bit. For sure lottery does not sounds like fairness...
Now that I have cooled down a little bit, congrats to the winners anyway.

Wow this release is impressive. But the omake is great. These shots are making it look better than the MG2. To be honest I wish I won just for the Alien.
And even the orange flyer needs to be framed.

Don't. We got 100% what we paid for and should have expected no more. An awesome poster. If anyone bought this EXPECTING anything else and was let down, I feel bad for THEM! Not to say I wouldn't have wanted to win a bonus toy, my point is that in the end this was a poster purchase. If anyone took it as anything else, and got nothing else, they have no right to be mad or upset.

Besides. Who said there won't be more? I don't have any secret info, but just because the 1st poster had 2 secret lotteries only doesn't mean the 2nd will stop there. Who knows what the guy's gonna do?!

I'm sure every real fan of Hirota's work was more than happy to win the poster and not expecting much else from it. Yes there are asshats who enter just to try and win toys and could care less about the poster. What I think Jared was trying to say is given the popularity of his toys IT does seem really unlikely that a poster winner would win two lotteries in a row immediately afterwards. Possible yes, but two people winning two lotteries- odds are very unlikely. I'm sure it's more of a case of aftermarket purchase or big trade, which is completely their prerogative.

I know, I just get tired of hearing people complain (not what Jared was doing) about this type of stuff.

If someone was to win 2 poster-lotto's I'm glad it was Scott (if not me muwahahahaha) vs. someone who might flip or trade flip these.

Again, maybe there's more coming?

Thanks for clarifying this Chris, that pretty much sums up my thoughts. My post was directed at the real fans who got a poster and missed out. I can't help but get a little paranoid given all the hype these toys are getting and am somehow hoping that their are not people out there entering for the posters thinking that's their ticket to these lotteries with no intention of having the poster framed up on their wall.

This is kind of neat...It looks like Hirota put a ad in the inside cover of "Famous Monsters" issue #265.

Quote:
I put an ad in FAMOUS MONSTERS # 265.

That I will cover the future is a dream.
Thank you.

I don't have a pic of the ad but it's basically the new poster with text and the figures in the bottom left corner.
