Re: Super7 Debuts Custom Tailored Apparel!
It also alienates those of us that don't wear clothes. Think of the toy-collecting nudists! 666doll wrote: Do I have to be the voice of reason?!
Stick to what you know. Or think you know. Sorry, but your toy designs aren't really any good to begin with. What makes you think you should be raiding Carl's closet and knocking off his clothes. And people here crap on Kidrobot?! Fucking really people! Get a clue But really, it's up to you how you run your business.Yeesh.

Lalo wrote: i don't see the alienation part. as stated before, they also sell polos, sweaters, shirts... something for everyone that wears clothes. if it's a question of getting in the way of toy making, i'm sure this did not. Groundless assumption: S7 / Hybrid are making a lot more money with non-toy related stuff than their sofubi. Would make sense to keep on going in that direction. Mind you, with all the licensing, who knows.

Re: Super7 Debuts Custom Tailored Apparel!
speaking of licensing I have been curious as to how/if the disney buyout of lucas will effect any super 7 projects?

Not to be a downer or change subject, but I can't care about crap from S7 until we get some print going on (that's not meant to be on the walls.) To keep it slightly on topic, I think it's cool they're doing stuff like this. I don't "get" it and it's 100% NOT for me, but I can appreciate the venture, no doubt. I'm not a lumberjack or a fashionable dude, but to those who are into it it's cool. I'd maybe be into one that was a "Hawaii" Hedorah themed just for the absurdity.

And people here crap on Kidrobot?! Fucking really people! Get a clue Super7 has been and will always be an evolving brand. It represents the sum of its parts. Toys & manufacturing them will always be a part of Super7 but it is not the only thing we like & do. Brian loves design, Frank loves wrestling, Josh loves Space, Luke loves old video game consoles & I love a ton of shit that has been talked about quite a bit here on skullbrain. I know Skullbrain has always thought they were the center of the Super7 universe(and with good reasons at times) but here is where I put a little perspective in for you business wise. Most people who walk into the store and spend money, have and never will know that we make toys, nor do they care. Just like most of you guys here couldn't care less about our apparel. Guess what? That's ok. You don't have to like everything we do. We are not trying to please everybody. We are just making things we like & hope you enjoy them too. Also the reality of this apparel is that Brian first told me he wanted to do this in 2006, when I started to shack up with Super7. So truth be told, it took longer than the mook. Sad but true. I miss you guys. Hope all is well. -Alex
