Ugh, almost weighed in last night... these guys have been pricy out of the gate, but what bugs me about this release is that S7 actually managed to make the first official release of these guys on US shores also the most expensive yet! Aftermarket pricing has officially come to the pre-order

I got gifted one of the new Mazinger mini's recently and was shocked by how 'mini' they are . . . . even the 4,000 yen retail price plus shipping seems kinda retarded! Having never had chance to check one out I was interested in picking up the Görz just out of curiosity but for $200 am happy to remain in the dark! After almost 20 years of collecting this crap I understand the year-on-year price increases but I think I've finally turned the corner and am now looking at a lot of stuff with the same incredulous expression as my non-toy collecting friends and relatives! Don't believe the hype!

I do more window shopping than collecting these days. I'll wait until the novelty wears off...which at the same time will be when there are tons of colorways to choose from.

Re: ILU ILU Neo Gorilla, Tokio, Görz, & Other! Database 1st
I get it, the store needs their cut, and the retail is already high and Japanese toy makers don't do discounts. And this comment is not directed at Super 7, since they make all their toys widely available at very fair prices, but at a new trend I see emerging.
It seems like the new model out there is to price your toy 2 or 3 times what it should be, and make limited runs. I guess that's practical, get the same amount of money for 1/3 of the work. I really can't fault that, anyone else in any other industry would jump at that chance. Then sell out because there are 10 collectors who are actually willing to pay and a handful of attempting flippers. Then about 5 or 6 actually get to collectors, and the other 4 or 5 willing to spend too much have to battle it out to get the flipped toys.

Grumble Toy's exclusive Ilu Ilu Gorz supposedly went for $150. Just saying...

been meaning to ask. I noticed gorz comes with an extra sticker in the minis packet. What exactly is that for?

New stuff for Super Festival. Vinydum and mini Pepy. I really dig the Vinydum but I'm not sure if it got maggots or tubes coming out of it. I'm guessing maggots with the omake larvae and all.

Very nice and I'm assuming around the same size as the Gorz or Gorilla - anyone know for sure?

Awesome looking toy, maybe the enemy of pepy? I cant see this first release being easy to score but like the other iluilu these should hopefully be easier to pickup later in the year. Wish these guys sold their toys through a webstore of some sort..

Seems like it. I really like the gold helmet version, much nicer than the first release Tokio in my opinion.

from the cardboard card from the iluilu site, it looks that the monster it's based has tubes of some sort not maggots.

Yes you're right! On the cover art it looks more like tubes. Would be nice to have but I'm still looking for one of those tiny expensive gorillas.
