Those look more like starfish than spiders to me. And they don't have 8 legs.

Post Re: BEAR MODEL
I recently came across this photo on a Japanese blog, which is from Hyper Hobby Magazine:

Image

Looks like a catalogue for Bear Model toys . . . i have no idea how many pages it runs for but I'd imagine its a least 4 . . . . i know its from one of these issues:

Image

Does anyone know of an online english database for Hyper Hobby? I would like to find out exactly what issue this is in so i might have a small chance of buying it.
Bit of a long-shot but I'd like to try!

I have issues of HH going back to 2006, I beleive they are 06/07 issues. I know for sure I have the two issues on the right but not sure about the others. I remember seeing the page you are after as I recently went over my early issues - I will check for you but I won't be back in Australia (where my collection is) till mid February.

I am after earlier issues of HH myself and have been popping into second hand stores in Japan. If I see any of these issues, I will check them out and take note.

^^^ Cool . . . thanks for the help. I appreciate it :)

Its a shame the picture is a bit low-res so the issue numbers and year are not legible . . . that would of made it a lot easier!

You can buy from Amazon Japan if it's being sold directly by them- they ship overseas (I've done this before). If it's an individual seller though, selling through Amazon Japan, more than likely they will not ship overseas. Look in the upper right hand corner there is always a english language link. When the page goes to english see if it's an individual or amazon japan. Shipping is really expensive though. I ordered a book that was only 1500-2000 yen and ended up costing me $60 if I recall.

Yeah, that's why I want to go to Japan, whenever I buy some small cheap toy from Japan I get killed on postage and yet Australia is only a 1k return flight from my City! Buying a $10 toy and paying $50 shipping is like paying a stripper to kick me in the balls.

Hey! There is absolutely no need to go slagging what some of us call a completely normal sexual fetish.
