 Re: Deadbeet
Beet Squeeze! The Tokyo Strain is next up for a painted beet run. I'll be releasing this run of 20 on Feb. 15 at my store http://www.stolleart.com/store at 10 PST. These beets were painted by R.A.G. (Random Airbrush Guy) AKA Nebulon 5. Retail is $70 plus shipping. Also, a little bird told me that a Toy Art Gallery exclusive Deadbeet will be released next week -Scott

Huge fan of anything in hawaiian colors but the black looks misplaced. It would look look way better on the belly.

 Re: Deadbeet (Tokyo is coming)
^^ You mean Tokyo, Bryce? But I agree. Looks a lil odd as placed. Still one of my Favorite sculpts of the last year though. EDIT: For anyone else confused by Bryce referring to this Tokyo version as "Hawaiian colors", I just learned something new that he brought to my attention & I think should be shared. Even though I feel a bit weird copying this from a PM, since it's a kaiju culture history lesson & nothing personal, I think it should be okay. And hell, I'm sure if I tried to put it into my own words, I'd just muck it up anyway " My reference to 'hawaiian' was a mere generality for brightly covered toy. For instance the "hawaiian" vintage goji is not "pink/blue/black/orange but rather green with blue spray. When bullmark sent "kaiju" to the islands, they sprayed them in these outrageous bright color because that's what they thought they would like." How's that for interesting Thanks again, Bryce!

 Re: Deadbeet (Tokyo is coming)
The plaster/bandaid really grated on me on this, if your going to paint the eyes and tongue the plaster could have been painted to, or at least not had the lazy spray over the top of it?

Sorry I think you've mistaken this for an "art toy" board or kidrobot. No one gives a fuck. moodydoom wrote: If this was some hobbyist or amateur just here to shuck their random wares on Skullbrain every 5 minutes, fine, chase them off with a stick.
In the cases of both Skinner and Scott, established artists with multiple toys, a certain amount of respect, or at the very least courtesy, is in order. It's called manners. These are guys that are working to make toys, every day in some way.

 Re: Deadbeet (Tokyo is coming)
Yes congrats Dago! The price label issue made me hesitate and finally I got cart jacked. That's definitely an awesome piece. Anyway I will line up next Friday for the Tokyo version.

 Re: Deadbeet (Tokyo is coming)
I have Melange, and I'll snap some shots of him and his new purple brother together. Hopefully I'll be able to snag the black glitter one when it gets released, so I can complete my halloween color trio

 Re: Deadbeet
Yeah what a great guy, I didn't get ripped off by the guy before so I'll keep painting toys for him. I'm perfectly content with my life. Just pointing out why this place used to be better than other boards, but someone who was here only to pimp his cusoms to begin with wouldn't understand that. I'm looking for the right Deadbeet to be my #2 I know they're sold out, but I'm willin to dig. That's one of the fun parts about this hobby, ya know? It's the waiting that's the hard part Best of luck on the Tokyo grab!

While we're on the subject... check out this rad 'Patina' Deadbeet that Scott threw out, and I randomly grabbed - it's really awesome in person, and I love how the patina shows off the amazing sculpted detail on this figure!
