 Re: Bullmark + Marusan collections
Welcome do your doom! Well, it's true that repros of the classics tend to be cheap as hell...but I think they're that way partly because most vintage really isn't THAT hard to find...thus skewing demand. Granted not all are like that, of course...but when you have your average "hot" designer vinyl *at retail* rivaling the price of your average vintage toy, then vintage becomes all the more compelling.

That Zaboga is nice. Never saw a mini of that before by Bullmark. That oil guy is also a want of mine.

I'm guessing he means second-from-the-left in the front row; with the big, blue vee.

That and his purple bro are Mach Baron villains. There is actually a good thread on the matter here http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=15063

That's a great find Choon. The bigger the better. I've always wanted one of these but have failed to pull the trigger. I often see them pretty banged up, but yours looks to be in good shape.

 Re: Bullmark + Marusan collections
Thanks, Chris.
In fact I've only seen one in good condition over for the last 12 years! Had a chance to look at it personally before pulling the trigger.

Living in the US, (and shitty Buffalo of all places) I never get to touch anything before I buy it. Sometimes you luck out, other times, well, let's just say the picture is not accurate Yeah I saw one on Mandarake last year that was in decent shape (from the pics it appeared that way at least), and it sat around at 15000 yen for awhile. Other than that, they've all had broken legs or arms, holes etc etc...

 Re: Bullmark + Marusan collections
Kee-ripes, that guy is a real beauty Choon. A battle well-fought and so happy that you were able to track one down after all this time. Seven is one of my favs, and of course we all love the giant sizes. I completely have to agree with Chris, being able to handle and check out toys in person, especially for any of the vintage stuff, makes all the difference in the world. One of the main reasons so much of my collection was picked up in Japan, and also why if I get stuff online, it is just easier to go for the 'junk' stuff and hope for the best.

 Re: Bullmark + Marusan collections
Thanks guys! My vintage collection is a real slow process, which is a good thing...for my wallet. Really its a fun process. If I've got more time I'd pick up "junk" ones and piece them up.

If I've got more time I'd pick up "junk" ones and piece them up. Isn't it though? Even finding a mass produced popy kamen rider minis cheap is still way more exciting than any new toys IMO. What excites me about vintage is the incredible variety of sculpts including bootlegs, whether it be size whatever. Where as new toys you get same old sculpt just different colorway. I think thats what really drew me in. Suddenly you have a bunch of the same character (in my case heroes) varied in size just building their own little army inside your shelves. Sounds corny but it's just what works in my collecting mind anymore. My only regret is I didn't take the plunge earlier!

 Re: Bullmark + Marusan collections
Totally stunning line up Paul. You know my thoughts already on the Mechanikong, but I am equally in love with your Hedorah. I guess it is the first time I have seen him next to other for scale, but I never thought the vintage Moguera was that big or chunky. I think I have been misjudging the proportions based on the M1 repros, which seem thinner. I really like the one you have, with the green vinyl coming through in the 'wear' spots, it is just fantastic!
