I'm not saying if it was a run of 5 I personally would have gotten one. I'm saying that in general I find it cooler when all runs are more limited. Maybe not as limited as 5. But having a release were one person can order 20 himself is a little too much IMO. A big part of the fun to me is hunting these guys down. I get a rush from the chase, once I've gotten them I usually get bored quickly. Then it's on to the next quest...

but in this case people are buying the toy because they love it, and its unlikely to be flipped for triple the cost. I love that cure releases open runs every now and again so everyone has a shot at owning something and if you want to chase some of the harder to find stuff then you can do that as well.

This! And all the more admirable when Cure the company is really just tossy alone.
I think this year may be a good year for cure fans, japan based and overseas alike.
Seems like there maybe also something new brewing which is not just a new variation of the boogiemen or fungah. Hopefully this will win Cure some new fans to keep them going

Oh, she'll be keen in going to SB, its in harajuku so there is plenty to do there. Fashion and quirky stuff. Also, Erostika and bounty hunter are in the same building, great fun to stop by. I found a great restaurant around the corner from the family mart in front of the SB building, wish I had some pics.

As always, here is Andy's superb list of places to visit in tokyo. This is fun to do.

HERE

thanks a lot man!

Great point Gabe. There are certainly enough Boogies that are tough as shit to find, it's great to have a bone thrown our way here and again. There are several in particular that I'm still hunting for after 4 years!

A full size sea creature or bat cave ghoul from the hellbox line would get me going, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to like what he comes up with. Hard not to speculate what it may be

I think having an open run kills the exclusivity of the piece. I like toys that arent easy to track down. The fact that this was an open run for me ruined it. Not just for this figure, Im speaking about all open runs in general. They should call them every Tom Dick & Harry runs.

Yeah, makes it harder to flip!!

Well... I am a new collector. So new that i have no Boogies. i guess I should be thankful I'm sort-of picky because I've settled on 1-3 of them i really like. (#1= Spooky Boogie, clear orange+pumpkin head+Glow in dark/C-3 exclusive), #2= Inner Devil Boogie, the black/pink one & Purple spooky Boogie + green Gee. I'm ready to pay a fair price for these, especially if mint in bag..... But what i really wanted to ask is --- last week I had the Spooky Boogie+gee in my cart at Mandarake in japan. Placed my order, etc. but then next day get email item sold out. Anyone else have this trouble ordering from Mandarake? The time difference makes it hard to complete a sale online. Any suggestions? Thanks PS.. if I have posted this in the wrong place/way, I'm sorry. new at this...

Id suggest posting an ad in the wanted section for the boogies you want for more exporsure
but otherwise i think your post is OK.
To my knowledge when there is a figure like a boogie on mandarake they only have one and its also for sale in store, So someone else couldve bought it in person and they did not had the time to remove it online. Is it still up on the site? My gf used to work at a retail store, both brick & mortar and online, she constantly had that problem when items were of limited stock.

Thanks for the advice... No, the Spooky Boogie long gone. I put a lot of effort watching Mandarake site, day & night. Was able to place order at 4:30 am last week and it didn't make any difference. Mandarake ought to be able to keep track of their inventory in real time. This is 2013, the age of super computers.... I felt cheated when I had the item, waiting for my shipping charges, only to have it sold to someone else..... I'll keep trying & post in the wanted section. thanks again...

Better advice than suggesting a total n00b posting a WANT for a hot item!

Wait, who sketched that inner cyclops head? Looks a lot like this one. Or am I missing something?

Pretty sure the sketch was done by Groman if I'm not mistaken.
