^^awesome. this one sounds amazing!!
THOR'S IMPERIAL PORTER Smoked Habanero Imperial Porter 12.5% ABV -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A decadent beer named after's the peoples god, the furious red Thor. Thor's Porter boasts a heaping 12.5% ABV. With a fat smokiness and a mild bite from the flesh of jalapeno and habanero carefully added during boil, we do not reccomend this beer for the weak of heart. Thor's Porter is even darker and more rich than our stout. Limited Release, Bottles & Kegs.

I've had all of these. Hes been home brewing for years and very good. He went to Haand Bryggeriet in Norway and worked with them for 4 months learning A LOT. I can't wait to sit in his bar and have a dozen beers.

This was actually a birthday present from my brother, but something I enjoyed throughout the month of December. A beer advent calendar full of delicious microbrews and imports. What more needs to be said. 24 days of deliciousness.
Re: Beer Bier Cerveza Bière بيرة Пиво Pivo Bira ビール
bought a bunch of bottles of this yesterday. A limited run from weyerbacher only available directly from the brewery. really glad I stopped by and grabbed some before it was gone.

The problem is that it doesn't look your team is the one celebrating.
Also, is that reception just from the antenna, or are you using a live stream feed? If that is over-the-air, damn, I am so jealous. Anyways, I know I am hoping the Bruins are tired from yesterday; after our 13-goal game who knows what we are going to put on the ice tonight.

It was on NBC (national network) just before the Redwings vs Blackhawks today. They were showing TB vs Boston highlights. Yeah we don't do fucking overpriced cable. We get NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, PBS, CW, and Antenna TV which shows all shows from the 50's through the 80's. Don't need 800 channels of crap for $200 a month. When I want to watch say AMC shows I just buy a season pass on iTunes...hockey when it's not on TV I watch online for free.
The real show is set to start in 5 minutes. Watching that online. Habs are going down!

I don't pretend to know what i'm talking about when it comes to beer but I do reccommend this to everyone, by far the tastiest beer I've ever drank, it has a vanilla toffee after taste which is unbeatable in my book, quite hard to find even over here in the UK I'm not sure about over in the states or elsewhere but if you can find yourself a bottle buy it and enjoy. It is pretty available in Canada at least. I have to agree, I&G is definitely one of the best beers I have ever had. Used to cost half a fortune (relatively) here, but has since come down to normal import prices. They have also started to do a few different types now, as well as seasonal specials. The flavour is incredibly rich. Not something I drink regularly, but a great treat if you can find one.

Good to hear a good word from someone else. Its actually become hard to find for me, its not cheap even over here and I think that might hold people back from trying it. I'd be curious to try the rum I&G but I know the original is everything I could ask for from a beer.
Re: Beer Bier Cerveza Bière بيرة Пиво Pivo Bira ビール
Just to be clear, it is aged beer, which gives it that incredible flavour depth, and the 'rum cask' is a reference to the barrels, and is pretty good too. It is not for everyone though, but those people can't appreciate good beer I say. They had a porter (winter) I think I saw in a boxed set over the holidays, but it was three bottles and a glass, and was hence too pricey for me. Unfortunate too, because I love my dark beers.
I am pretty sure it is a small operation, and the care and aging process accounts for the added cost, but take our words for it, it is worth it.

They make a Canada day Innus and Gun that uses barrels from Canadian whiskey. It's quite good.

ahhhh... I'm going on holidays next week and hope to find a bottle of Rodenbach. It's on my top 10 I haven't had list.
I did just brew my first Flemish Red though. It's one week into it's 18 month fermentation. I'm culturing some dregs from a Mikkeler lambic that look really snotty and ropey right now. Once that settles down it will go into the mix with the red.

Well here is my hefeweizen selection (I'm german not irish!) for today along with my fave belgian ale:
Re: Beer Bier Cerveza Bière بيرة Пиво Pivo Bira ビール
I've had that Berliner (second from the left). It's refreshing and tart. Looks like a good line up. I was on the hunt yesterday for a Gose (salted wheat), without any luck.

Re: Beer Bier Cerveza Bière بيرة Пиво Pivo Bira ビール
Thanks Chris, enjoying the Berliner now. Your description was exactly right! Started with Ayinger.
Re: Beer Bier Cerveza Bière بيرة Пиво Pivo Bira ビール
Great choices. I would have started with Ayinger, followed by the dunkel, and then the Berliner, but I like to mix it up to get a wide range of flavours. I am actually quite happy that Schneider gets a lot of distribution, because it is quite a quality, low price weisse. Prost!
No...that's not all I got. Eat a three inch dick footlong you prick.

I had an IPA the other night at one of the local pubs. they told us about the "punk IPA" from a small brewery in Scottland, so we had to try it. they're called BrewDog, and some of their stuff is quite good.
some of their beers are pretty strong (up to 55% alcohol) and with names like Tactical Nuclear Penguin, Sink The Bismarck and The End of History it's at least a interesting take on it

This video is awesome, and makes me incredibly nostalgic for my undergradute days.
What do you do while you are waiting for wine to age? Well, you drink beer.
