Either way, it's fucking magnificent. You probably saw it on the cover of one of the original issues of Kinnikuman. It is one of the two manga cover color schemes they used for him.

Ah...must be it, T. I knew that scheme wasn't just a unique retailer exclusive palette...or just plain made up!

Oh man, that frosty blue on Broken Jr is KILLER! Is that an exclusive? Or does it refer to a particular scene in the comics? Also, any word on a regular Big Budo painted release???

Brocken Jr ala the ghost of Obi-Wan in Star Wars... ha ha There is this wacky scene in the Seven Devil Choujin Arc chapter where Disembodied Devil Choujin start beating up on Kinnikuman when he is fighting Atlantis. Terryman, Brocken Jr. and Mongolman decide to jump through a magic mirror, and come out on the other side as spirits to even things out in an epic under water ghost rumble. Rumor is Punk Drunkers or MxMxM will be announcing a full color Budo sometime this month......

 Re: FiveStar Toys
Usually I find pieces like this a little too silly, ha, & the puppy shirt may be pushing it, but overall I Really like these Wonder Festival sofvi exclusives: "Kinnikuman (Original Green Mask ver.)", by Yoiko x Five Star. ^^ This one's a New Want! "Terryman (Puppy ver.)", by Yoiko x Five Star. There's something refreshing about traditional series' having a sense of humor *Thanks to You, Nama Niku, for the information, and courtesy Five Star for the photos.

Ugh. It is getting harder and harder not to buy some of these, but I know once I have a couple of them, it will be a very tiny step before I need them all.

 Re: FiveStar Toys
Aw, dammit...that Warsman in Robin colors is hot as hell. Does anyone know if Warsman a particularly popular character in Japan? It seems that he's been getting a LOT of love in the FiveStar line. Steve, you should try just one or two out for starters...really, everyone should. The quality is pretty damn unmatched when it comes to Japanese soft vinyl. They're THAT good. The problem is obviously that they just command so much on the aftermarket...but the good news is that it's a vibrant and active fandom, so there's pretty much *always* deals to be had. You just need to be patient. I'm limiting myself to just one figure per character/sculpt...though admittedly, I have *two* Warsman figures! I just couldn't resist that mask-off version. But that philosophy plus being patient has paid off.

 Re: FiveStar Toys
I'm trying hard to resist as I have little space left and I really want a painted big budo although I know I'll fall for more sooner or later. Still need a Terry and the unmasked communist warsman for starters.

Didn't jl have one for sale recently? I got his Rikishiman with the crazy red, white, and black facepaint and the Japanese flag on his chest. I know I said I didn't want any of those versions because they're so different from how he's "supposed" to look...but I just couldn't help it!

 Re: FiveStar Toys
@Sanjeev Yes, Warsman is super popular in Japan. I would say top five (maybe), top 10 for sure. And even more.... http://nama-niku.blogspot.com/2013/03/k ... -mist.html

 Re: FiveStar Toys
Faaaaaaaaaak... Are you kidding me?? Hahaha...those are both absolutely amazing-looking figures. Gonna be tough to resist this pair! Anyway, I get how Warsman is popular--hell, all his different versions made him one of my favorite MUSCLEs growing up--but what I don't get is Ramenman. He seems to be one of the *least*-loved toys in this line...yet he's a pretty damn popular character...

 Re: FiveStar Toys
Ok so here's a question I've been meaning to ask for a while (but always forget when I come to the board): is there any difference between the blister releases and the header + bag ones? I only have header releases and I noticed that the blister ones generally cost less...

 Re: FiveStar Toys
I would venture that just the earliest releases were carded...perhaps to give the figures more "cross-over" appeal (most Kinnikuman collectors aren't vinyl collectors, so blisters are probably sexier than bags & tags). I'm sure Tyler knows the *real* reason...
