My local shop hasn't gotten the dvd in yet; i'm pretty pumped to see it though. The reviews have been good.

The new converge is pretty awesome, by the way. Not sure about the 'guest' vocals but whatever. I'm looking forward to grabbing the remixed/remastered old records.

I've been listening to the new Isis for the last two months nearly non-stop. It's very, very good and won't disappoint!

I'll have to check out the DVD -- thanks for the head's-up!

i've been listening to converge for over a decade...gulp. i even have some stuff with "tough guy jake" vocals.

um, yeah i think everyone on this board has been in this game before these bands even existed. its cool that we have been able to follow these bands from their infancy and that the bands are still awesome after all the years that we still want to follow them!

but famous is a stretch, they are still relatively unknown today but relative to say 93 then i get it.

ive never been a huge fan but I can I say I really enjoy petioning the empty sky. great album.

i'm just a small town girl, they are more famous than i ever thought anyone i used to hang out with would be, you know. it never stops being weird seeing all the old scene kids on tv.

I never really understood what all the hype was about on either of these bands, really. I just don't get it I guess.

the only record I really enjoy in the style of Converge is Cave-In "Beyond Hypothermia". other than that I'd rather just listen to straight up death metal before most of this stuff.
