sad to say but the Max Toy version is much better.

^^ I agree . . . the new one is still cool but the original has a better stance . . . his paws are chunkier too, which is better.

did i miss the backstory of why there are so many versions now, seemingly all the same size?

The stance on the Konatsu one is a little odd, still a pretty piece though. I did like her Akita though, reminded me of Okamiden.

I'm curious about this too . . . . i assumed she just wanted toys she could release on her own without Max Toy involvement.

oh bummer, missed out on the new Konatsuya Negora Mike and Kontasuya Shibara Brown. Didn't know they're even up at Rotofugi a few days ago. Anyone scored?

A lil bummed too. Dont love the new sculpt but the paintjob was nice and the price was right. Also i need one of the shibara (?) dogs for my girl, shes obessed with all those asian dogs: shibas, Jindos, etc.

I was able to pre-order the Negora mike version.

I snagged the painted Shibara. Once I get my little rotofugi loot pile shipped i'll take a shot of it next to the translucent red Shibara

where did you preorder it? wonder if I can find these else where still. it's the same with the transparent negora and kontasuya awhile ago, but yeah, the paint is a nice touch to the figure.

Got mine from Rotofugi last week.
The packaging is pretty neat.. but unnecessary? Maybe I'm just used to having all my vinyl come in bags.. While its neat can't see myself getting more of them... however the March release colours are great.. :/

I for one HATE the box. It looks cheap, the plastic is tacky and makes this look like something from a sanrio or manga store. Its not going to stop me from buying one tho
