I thought this Triton figure ended at a pretty reasonable price. I thought it would go higher. What sort of prices do the Triton figures usually reach?

I bought mine for 12000 and was not in such a good condition. A few days after I saw one go for 9,000 that looked much better.
But then again, I've seen it go for more too.

Others probably know better than me but I think that's about the right price for this particular figure. I believe they generally go for around 40,000 to 50,000 yen (maybe this one should have gone for more because it's sealed). The kaiju from the series can go for big money.

YEs, the villains go for 70000 and up. This is the first I've seen MIB so don't know. Mine was open, no cape, scratches, re paints...

Yeah villains go into the 70s and higher from what I've seen.
Triton at this price, pricey IMO but MIB and tempting.

It is an Arowana or Dragonfish - very popular to collect in China...

They are supposed to bring good fortune to those that look apon them so owners keep them in private or secret locations.

that one is a baby ... It comes up in your search as the stores name is Real select or some such.

Seems like Medicom is reissuing the Triton of the Sea vintage vinyl. Really hope they make the villians!

I'm curious does the owner of Medicom collect vintage? I know he loves Anraku & Butanohana but never knew he was into vintage. Seems like he definitely wants to reissue lots of vintage toys.

What everyone else said about the villains. Originals way out of my range price wise, might be nice to get a few.

This is great news. So many interesting characters made from that show:

I meant to post this awhile ago but this toy (have no idea who it is but went for quite a bit of cash), IS THIS Zollmen's inspiration for Spaceguy 56?:

I wonder if that is a real auction, those prices are pretty whacked (i.e. 399,999 円). The figure is Astroganger though, from an early robot anime series. I think I have seen a reissue version, NH or Marusan maybe, but I can't recollect for certain. There was also the recent Kaiju Ken version (which I of course love, but am sure will never own  ).

Here is another anime-stylised version for character reference:

This is a bootleg but the original toy is from Masudaya and it's very very pricey too!
The original has also a package very similar to the Zollmen Spaceguy and a funny mechanism to make him slide a rope like he's flying :)

The Astroganger auctions Ive watched have always ended with crazy prices.

Ive never seen the talker for sale.

You can see the Astoganger toys in this video:

^^Aww...what a tease! The beginning mentioned Starfleet: X-Bomber toys (which I LOVE)...but there was barely anything at the end.

Also neat to see some Koseidon toys slipped in there. I'd love to get my hands on that show...

I will admit that is higher than I thought the Astro Granger would go as well, but with that character, the sky is always the limit. Anything besides the 3" bootleg figures are incredibly difficult to get and very expensive. The talker is usually te most expensive, and is always well over 4 grand every time it pops up. Needless to say, I still need one.

Nice one, but 円 980, man that is too expensive.

Another weird bid amount, I wonder if this is standard for the high ticket items. I had not really noticed it before, but the last one was the same. I am guessing this is a standard sized figure, right?

Thanks, that is what I figured. I agree loose is the way to go. The box is awesome of course, and it is always nice to check out the packaging artwork, but you really need to display these awesome toys next to other robots (I think) - not to mention, I want to play with 'em.
