 Re: Black Metal
I dunno if any one else has been following this but Scott (aka Malefic of Xasthur) is set to release a non-black metal (dude even puts a warning message on the facebook saying it is not a bm project ) album from his new project Nocturnal Poisoning. I wonder how its gonna turn out.

 Re: Black Metal
I am actually pretty surprised he agreed to do the OMM thing. I'm sure he might have some regrets about it.

^ One of my absolute favorite bands of any genre. I guess it had to happen at some point.

This finally came in - I think it's going to be my favorite BM release of the year ! I also got the Din Brad cd. I thought it would be similar to DordeDuh - it's not as great but my family hated it so much, it was worthwhile

I think this is the thread we've discussed Ghost in... Everybody make their offering to receive the Secular Haze download?

Did you follow the website as it started out with just one instrument's track and then added the others in individually as people signed up for their mailing list? I thought that was kinda cool...but I did like the incomplete song better than the complete song. Still, I like it and am looking forward to the new album.

 Re: Black Metal
I took the small hand, and art overall, as a nod to medieval artwork where proportions were off like that all the time. I mean, in a lot of those, baby Jesus was a scaled down grown. Lots of small hands in those, and other strange proportions.
Anyway, I like the new song. No complaints. A few seconds in I was like "This new Uncle Acid is sweet" then I remembered it was Ghost. The waltz sound is more UA kind of. But I'm still into it.
I have faith (or should it be "lack of faith" to be properly satanic?) in the new album. It's tough to follow up such a strong debut.

 Re: Black Metal
In my recent quest to find unoriginal monochrome BM, I stumbled on Kult Ofenzivy. Essentially, it sounds like Transylvanian Hunger with Attila on vocal. Both their albums are 7$ at Deathgasm !

 Re: Black Metal
Been enjoying Bornholm lately. Haven't given Inexorable Defiance a spin yet, but I got that, the compilation of On the Way of the Hunting Moon & Awakening of the Ancient Ones, & March for Glory and Revenge recently. Really good band.
