A hater is somebody who hates, usually without discrepancy or credible reason. If most of us were haters, almost everybody would feel hated on by the community. However, that is not the case. It's only the few that feel consistently hated. Do something wrong, and a few people may lash out. If you're brand new and people are already lashing out, you're probably doing shit wrong already... go and read the rules. And if people seem to be lashing out quite often, you're probably just doing a lot of shit wrong.

The only thing more dumb than a hater, is someone who perceives a community as being composed almost entirely of haters, and yet optionally hangs around to endure the agony that is Skullbrain. If you are being so ruthlessly hated on by the community at large, then what does sticking around serve to gain you? Sweet deals on rare toys over on the sales thread? Kick rocks!!

Unfortunately brosef...I don't see that happening and think it'll just keep escalating. Also think the use of brah, bro, etc will continue to rise...

So I feel like I need to chime in on this. In my time here I have seen people eaten alive. Those people were eaten alive due to there own arrogance and/or instant greed. Which at one point to me seemed unnecessary. I am a pretty laid back happy guy try to stay positive most of the time. A lot of you know me on a personal level and have either welcomed me into your lives or home or have had the same done for me to you. In the current climate I have reevaluated a lot of my opinions. It is more then obvious that a large portion of the new people on this board do not respect or appreciate the way of life here. They come in with high demands and attitudes get what they want and then proceed to act poorly. When I first started a co-worker at the time started with me. When he and I had a falling out (Due to his own avarice) he came on to the board to try and bad mouth me. While doing this he was selling his entire Pushead collection on Ebay. That type of disrespect to the board has made it very easy for me to now turn a smile when these people get eaten alive. I know a lot of you may not like me some of you I thought didn't like me and find out otherwise recently. I have been to every end of the spectrum on this board, I started by collecting Pus and fight figures then went to Splurrt and then dabbled in all that Mishka and hype ridiculousness. Lately I've been collecting M1Go and Bullmark reissue stuff I have learned a lot about this scene in my time here and because of it appreciate what I collect now more then anything. What I am trying to say is, if you are new here it's really simple to survive: read the rules, learn from others, scan through the archive and don't get greedy. Just be a decent person.

I don't get it. Skullbrain has it's own culture. It has since its beginnings. Newbs come in and are so bothered by it and just expect it to change for them. Would you go to a strangers house and tell them to change their lifestyle to accommodate you, would you go to a new city or foreign land and just expect the culture that exists there to suddenly change because you've arrived and you want it a different way? No.
So why do newbs constantly come in here complaining about how things are like anyone actually gives a damn. You know how it is, you've heard the rumors. you've read the threads. If you don't agree with it, don't try to be a part of it. Don't think you can come in making a stink and change everything about this board.

I don't even think there's enough hate around. Most of the time when I see something that annoys me I try to keep it to myself. Some times someone else will successfully express my exact opinion, but not always. My guess is there's more people out there that keep quiet. What I'm trying to say is that it has been quite some time since all the influx of conceited ignorant bastards begun and it seems to never end. David said it in another thread, collecting takes time, patience, tenacity, etc... If someone truly want to be here for the right reasons probably would never notice all the heat. And if you do notice, then you're probably part of that group... the one that shouldn't be here.

I have my opinions but I'm usually not this crass. I do apologize for the profanity but I saw no other way to express my anger.

And I'm a lot like you as well and try to keep annoyances to myself most of the time.
But, moderators for whatever reason are ignoring a lot of nonsense that would never have lasted in the past, so the town folk are arming themselves with torches and pitchforks to take their village back. ; )

All this recent bullshit is really starting to take the piss out of me (did I use that correctly Brits?), so I'll make this as simple as I can put it. If you think the resource here (and I am not speaking of being told of the latest release but the volumes of info and people who actually know shit) is easily replaced or that you don't need it then get the fuck out! More and more I just read old threads and watch for the few things I am after. You want this place to run to your liking, well who the fuck are you? I've been here a few years and I am still fully aware this place could survive just fine without me. I respect many board members, I respect the shared knowledge and I respect the fucking rules. Shape up or ship out seems to fit the situation just fine. Sorry if I am repeating anyone but I can't be bothered to read through this thread as it contains nothing about toys. rabble rabble rabble.

Bingo. How many times a year does the guy whose dime we're here on have to pop in to say "cool it?" We're really lucky to have Skullbrain and there is definitely nothing else like it, at least not in the English-speaking world.
